Are there such thing as Red HID's?

Right now i have 8k HIDs as the main lights and my bulbs for my center fogs blew. so i was wondering if there is any such thing as red HID bulbs. ik 30k is purple. and 3k is green. is there red?

Highly illegal and no, there aren't. If there are, they just use sleeves.

Why not have an LED pro on hidplanet.com make you some bulbs that use the stock plug with a cluster of ultra-bright red LEDs with heat shrinks?

I have HIDs in it now but they blew so i figured id get red ones

also, my fogs lights are halo fogs, can i take out the blue ring and put a red one in or do i need to buy a new light all together

Depends on how it's lit, either as CCFL bent rods or end-lit with LEDs.

i had red fog lights on my truck. that lasted all of 2 days and 3 tickets. i wouldnt recommend them seeing as technically, red and blue lights are reserved for emergency service vehicles

I'm thinking about doing "dark amber" halo CCFLs in my headlights/Roush fog lights.

I'd like to get as close to red as possible, without being illegal. "Dark Amber" most certainly isn't illegal.

I think you would be better off tapping an led in there to make the reflector glow red, rather than actually use the fog bulb to output red light.

FYI 3k is yellow, oh and you can be really cool and get pink ones. I have seen those before lol

you can get red halos id prolly start at the site iDance posted...and you can prolly get red leds alot of cars are putting leds in the fogs nowadays
