I've got a PC DA (7424 or whatever) and was wondering what the best finishing pad for applying wax is? I don't need any cut to it, just a good pad to put wax on. Over the weekend I used a Mequire's pad, but it soaked up a ton of liquid wax - I could literally wring it out when I was finished. Are the Chemical Guys pads good?

Thanks, I'll check them out. Looks like a good price too.

I wouldn't use a finishing pad. I would use an application pad. They sell ones for use by hand and DAs

for a wax or sealant, use a red pad. No pressure and a speed of around 3 or 4 (some say go lower, but I feel you need SOME speed on a DA). I use this speed knowing that my surface is 100% clean. I wax in a controlled environment and use an air compressor to blow off each panel before waxing. Yes, I'm mildly anal.

pshshhhhhhhhh he said "anal"
