anyone have any tips for getting a DD show ready? I’m gonna get some underhood dress up (chrome caps, painted plenum and dress up bolts) but what else can I do to make it more show ready? Thanks in advance for the tips

Change the nasty rocker covers. A good wash and detail and stop using it for a DD

Replace the rusted manifolds with some nice stainless headers, powdercoat the valve covers & timing cover, move battery to the trunk and do a wire tuck. And clean the inner rims of your wheels.

I love detailing just kinda new, it’s my daily driver so I’m not gonna shove it away somewhere just looking for some tips to help get it glossy and ready for the shows we go to locally nothing big and fancy. I’ll wash it 2x with mother’s, clay bar it with quick detailed, then hand wax it and put F11 topcoat on it. I’m gonna paint some fuel rail covers, put chrome caps and black out the front of it (halos and black turn signals) just wondering what else y’all would suggest I’m also putting a new hood on it mostly due to the oxidation of the aluminum one

Yes, wrap that hood or get some hockey stick stripes down the side to highlight the edges. You can get a set of coilovers for under $1k so getting low doesn't have to be expensive.

Sweet, thanks guys. What wash and detailed are y’all using? And someone mentioned a wire tuck, what’s that?

This is the best example I could find. Not a complete tuck but the fuse box and battery were relocated to clear up some clutter. A lot of other photos were taken hostage by Photobucket.
