Discount code - Shane cannot receive PMs

I tried sending Shane PMs as the sticky at the top says, and I get this:

AMShaneLesky has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her.

If you are trying to send this message to multiple recipients, remove AMShaneLesky from the recipient list and send the message again.

Is the only way to get the code to post the visitor's message onto his user page thing? (did that as well yesterday)
