So, why did the second car (in the left lane) crash? It didn't look like he made contact with the car that initially broke loose. Maybe lost it trying to miss the first car?

I was wondering the same thing. He's still pointed straight down the track after the other driver is behind him and wrecking. It's like he jerked the wheel an entire second too late to even matter and that caused him to wreck.

That one rescue worker looked like he was running forever and not getting the car. One of those wrecks by its self is bad. Two at the same time. Damn.

It's hard to say, almost looks like the first car may have clipped him as he came across. The car certainly reacted as if it had been hit
Edit: on my computer it does indeed appear that he lost it trying to avoid the other car
