Last week on our way to the NMRA Bradenton Event we stopped in Georgia for a Private Track Rental at Silver Dollar Raceway hosted by Tim from MV Performance (a real nice guy and the track prep was amazing). It would be the first time the Super GT500 was down the track, so after a couple of 60ft and Half Track runs, we decided to make some full track passes.
On the fourth complete pass the car went 7.89 @175mph with a 1.19 60ft but we didn't get it on film because the camera guy was to worried about getting a video of the parachute deploying... so we ran the car again and it went 7.94 @173mph, still another seven.....
Off to Florida for the NMRA Bradenton event where we would run in the Modular Muscle Class which has an 8.80 index (Not a very appealing class since 14.99 Cars race 8.90 Cars Bracket Style) I wanted the car to run another pair of Seven second passes in front of the crowd at the event.
The first pass at the Friday test and tune the Boost Controller shut off after launch due to the battery not being charged and ended up running a 9.20 @157mph with only 8.5lbs of Boost.
We get the car back to the trailer and charge the battery but in the mean time there were a handful of wrecks on the track and delayed the test and tune session. We only end up getting one more pass and blast off a 7.97 @ 173mph with a 1.21 60ft, not what I was hoping for but still a seven....
NMRA Modular Muscle - Since the car wasn't dialed in for bracket racing quite yet and it's only been down the track a dozen times. We contemplated on trying to run deeper into the 7's throughout qualifying Saturday but we didn't want to disrespect NMRA, plus we wanted everyone to see it run on Sunday even though we had to slow it down a whole second.
Even though we treed the hell out of Paul (.507 vs. .563 Light) we ended up getting eliminated second round since we slowed the car down too much and were to far off from our dial in.
We will have the car dialed in for Atco so we can win the Modular Muscle Class. In the meantime were going to see how fast we can go with our baby 67mm Precision Turbos, then we're going to put on some GT45R's and see if it will run a 6.........!
It was real nice meeting existing customers and new people at Bradenton, including other shop owners.

Thanks for everyone being so patient.
