Sweet, from what year?

2012 GT500.. I really wanted the aluminum block to. Hold but people are real proud of these blocks for some reason. So for a few extra bucks I bought the long block.

I think you did great man. You have an excellent resource here for this swap. Cam (Gallopingford) did the 4v/tr6060 swap to his Bullitt. He wanted it to be like it came that way from the factory, so EVERYTHING works. You are going racecar mode right? so it should be way less complicated. Here is his build thread/gt500 swap. Could be a helpful reference. http://www.s197forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=109107

^^ thanks, yeah always wanted to do a "HARDCORE MOTOR SWAP" that is worthy of this forum..oh well this build will have to do. I'm starting to lean towards just building a fun car instead of a race car. We will see. I have a few hours tonight to keep tearing it apart. just looking forward to the entire process.

Readers digest of Cam's thread to make it all work nice and easy: gt500 body wiring harness. I think the hardest part for him was the dash section and through doors.

I dont miss mine. Why would you want it on a race car?

Yeah I just don't want flat spots on my tires when hard braking into corners. Lmao. Still with practice I think I can manage.

11.4 lbs for this thing. Will look to see if there is a lighter option

Probably, but is that thing what keeps the steering shaft from spearing you in the chest?
