That's going to look real nice. Reminds me of the old blue/gold racing livery for the Rally Wrx Sti Subaru Imprezas when McRae was driving for them.

Installed my Silverhorse flush mount Louvers today and wrestled with the trimming required of the interior panels.

While the rear interior panels were out; I added more sound deadening (raamat) under the rear seats and rear walls under, around and above the quarter window.

Also added some for the billet chromed pieces to the interior while I was in there. And GT500 style brake and gas pedals. Brake went on perfect. Gas pedal was stick on type (3M), it didn't stick so I'm using gorilla two part epoxy to see if it cures and permanently sticks.

Pic tomorrow if it stops raining.

The color match from Silverhorse Racing on the flush mount louvers is great. I recommend if someone decides to buy from them.

Almost forgot, added a Shorty Antenna finally.

These solid billet pieces I got for a steal on AM's black friday are very high quality (I wasn't expecting much). Favorite piece is the side window defroster vent (it complete replaces the vent); solid piece of billet and not a a slick on bezel.

As I mentioned in the RTR decklid thread; I decided to shave the rear decklid and got wingless. It was dropped off at the body shop Monday at open. Today I stop by and they shown me the progress. Here is the in progress pics:

Man, this is turning out to be a pretty car. I need to step away; I'm getting an irresistible urge to go put some "blinh" mods on my car.

Thank man. I don't care to just blindly bolt parts on. I firmly believe spending the extra on small details collectively impact the look in the end.

They called me today thinking it would be done but they wanted everything perfect so they wanted to repaint and bake it again. It will be done by 3pm EST tomorrow. I'll have pics up by 5pm.

For now this is what I grabbed from the shop today:

What I love about it is the very minimal use of body filler. Used only in small low spots to get the smoothness. The whole decklid panel area (exterior layer) of sheetmetal was cut out and they cut a piece of sheetmetal to cover the area. This metal was carefully bent to match the contour of the original metal. It was welded in place. Tap the area with your finger and you get that metal sound. I love it. It looks equally good from the inside. The welds are impossible to see.

The funny thing that my body guy said was that the filling in the spoiler hole was more of a pain to do than the decklid shaving. He said the metal want to warp and buckle when you weld in the patch panels for the holes; so he had to take his time on it.

I'm excited to see the final product tomorrow when I get off work.

^ That's a very clean look and well done, a blacked out GT emblem would look good back there to boot!

When you mounted the louvers, what held the quarter windows in the opening?
Is the glass mechanically fastened or is adhesive used to hold them in place?
I've got one that is crooked in the opening and if it's mechanically fastened it'll be easy enough to fix.

What tool did you use to soften the border of the car and get the unfocused look like that?

BTW. Car looks good. Just need wheels and lowered now

I have Photoshop. I made two layers of the pic, then added a Gaussian blur to the top layer, airbrush erase the car in the top layer (exposing bottom layer in focus) and then flattening both layers together. I was tinkering, it could be better. But new camera regardless. Lol.

I have DF5 wheels that I want to powdercoat Sterling Charcoal. And a whole suspension setup waiting in the garage. All I need is tires. Decided on 305/35 rear and 255/35 front in MT comps.
