Picked up the new ADS Maestro, ADS dash kit and Kenwood DNX890HD for the mustang.

Install was pretty straight forward. Accessing the wire for SYNC and OBDII was a bit of a pain though. Really loving how much you can customize the setup and how much better the audio quality is.

CM5 kit was an mistake in the shipping, otherwise the other parts were all necessary. CM5 kit was actually supposed to be the RR Maestro unit.

Sh1tty pic.. but the SYNC wire that needed to be tested. Should read 5v and then drop when the SYNC voice command button is pushed.

Pulled the OBD2 harness out from the clip and had to splice in to these 2 wires

For splicing the factory SiriusXM antenna, you have to remove this clip after taking the cable out of the factory head unit

You can then put it in the aftermarket tuner. Its a slightly loose fit, so some epoxy was used on the outside portion.

Mess of wires from the ADS harness

Also had to run the GPS wire through the dash. Decided to mount mine in the middle of the dash in front of the light sensor

Then you plug the RR module in to the computer, program it and flash it and it fires everything up.

Unit come with a ton of different buttons so you can customize the layout of the dash kit.

Also had to run RCA's back for rest of the stereo. So much nicer going through an aftermarket deck now.

you control your heat and AC through it too? thats pretty fucking awesome.

Not my pics, but correct. Climate controls can be done through the deck, or through the customizable buttons. You can setup each button, including the ones on the steering wheel, to have dual features. The buttons on the dash kit are interchangeable as well... i think the kit comes with something like 20 different buttons

Here's the pics i was referring to:

thats so freakin awesome. I wonder how many of those features would work in the 07-09 stangs. How much did you pay? looks like its about $1100 on crutchfield but it doesn't say anything about those features.

Ordered from Sound of Tri-State with a deal they are offering. I got the DNX890HD, the RR Maestro, MUS1 dash kit with wiring harness for $1099 with free shipping.

They also price matched the Sirius tuner for me which was $46.

Through Sonic, I ordered the RCA's and antenna adapter for about $30 shipped.

I know this thread is 2 years old. 2 weeks ago I had this installed in my ride. The havc controls right through the radio and performance gauges as previously mentioned are the radio. I installed the Kenwood DNX692. So far the performance has very good.

We installed a similar system a few months back. The only item we lost that is frustrating to us, is the internal circulation option. We used it a lot when driving in Seattle. Going up the hills and all the stop and go traffic makes a nice smell on the crappy cars folks chose to not maintain.

Now that we lost that feature, it is like the windows are down and we get a face-full...

Weird - I definitely still have the option to recirculate. It's right under the vent selection. For what it's worth - anyone looking to do this mod it's absolutely worth it. All together I have $507 into it. I paid $250 shipped for a manufacture refurbished DDX5901HD (in perfect shape), $174 shipped for the MUS01 dash kit, and $83 for the Maestro itself.
