last week when I ran that [email protected]
is that mph low? seems to me it is??? is it my 4.10's?
I see cars run 11.90's@121. I know there are alot of varibles...just curious if the 4.10's are causing the lower mph???

IMO, who cares as long as you cross the finish-line first. ;-)

My car is not as fast as yours, so I can't say it is good or bad. I used to cross the finish line at 13.5 and 101 MPH. Now with my 4:10's (and some other stuff) I am 12.8 and 110, so your numbers could be good for your setup. You could be right about the gears. 4:10's are great on the lower end for a quicker rev-up.

I can say that when my 60' is bad, my trap speeds are higher. I am not sure what the relationship is, but if you are pulling better 60' times compared to the guys you see pulling 120's, that could be a part of it.

Actually the example you give is bad. That person doing 121 mph should be around 11.10-11.20 in the 1/4 mile. If he is only doing a 11.90---that means his 60' time probably sucks.

In your case I think your mph is fine. With 117.X mph you should be able to get down to 11.5X terrritory with a little practice. I was running 11.3X's at 119 mph to give you an idea.

All alot of mph with a slow et means is your not putting the power to the ground. A low et with not much mph means your making it all count.

That's a very good and simple explanation Paul. Thx...

That would explan the 60' relationship...most of my poor 60' time are because of traction loss.

The 4.10's will only be an issue if you are running out of gear through the traps, like bouncing off the rev limiter before the traps. And that can be addressed by regearing the car, or by going with a taller rear tire.
