Hello all,

First may I say that you have a great forum here. We've been reading it for a little while and finally decided to jump in. My wife and I are looking at buying a 2008 GT/CS. Other than requesting a Carfax for it, is there anything else we could/should do? Searching here has been a great learning about the cars in general.

We're looking forward to becoming S197 owners and active members of the forum.

Other than doing a carfax, just get the VIN and make sure it's not stolen and that's it's not a salvage car. lol. Welcome to the forum and great choice in vehicle!!

Yeah, I've heard they aren't always complete.

yes they are not always 100% complete but its better than nothing. most MAJOR stuff should show up on there. Its still worth the 0-30 bucks you can get them for. But don't rely on it 100% take the info but still have it checked out by your mechanic.
