I'm here at my dads picking up my bike and taking it back home. Here is what it looks like now after some small changes that where done and that should have been done from the factory. It's hard to tell but it's Sand Camo Denim (Tan w/ black stripes)

Overall pic....

Picking up a 1982 Honda magna v45 for a decent price off a coworker. Planning on turning it into a bobber and restoring it. It's my first bike, so I have lots to learn.

NICE! Welcome to the V4 Fold. If you're looking for a great forum of fellow V4 owners, check out www.v4hondabbs.com The guys there are geniuses, and my '82 v45 Sabre would be in a ditch if not for them.

BTW, how do you like the MAC 4-1 exhaust?

I tried to registrar and it said I was not allowed??

Can't really say, I have nothing to go off of. The old owner seemed to like it, he said it picked up in the midrange a little. It will be coming off the bike here very soon for some custom voodoo that I'm going throw together.

Also do you know of any aftermarket internal engine parts that would be available?

Are you trying to register w/ a gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc webmail addr? They have restrictions that it has to be a ISP email addr (comcast.net, verizon.net, twcny.rr.com, etc) in order to stop spammers. If you don't have an ISP, PM me w/ your email and name and I'll PM their webmaster.

They're great bikes, and pull hard in the low and mid. Kind of reminds me of driving a V8. But when you get them up over 7k, they come alive in a different way and it almost feels like a different bike. 82 hp on a 30 yr old bike is still pretty damn good. Not going to keep up w/ a CBR or Hyabusa but it'll hold its own in the cruiser crowd.

There's another site, V4Musclebike.com that a lot of the guys are members on too. For me, the BBS is all I need and I've got enough forums as it is.

As far as performance parts go, I don't think there's much out there, especially for the baby Sabre & Magnas (v45). They made a blower for the big ones (v65, 1100 cc). Jets and exhaust are all I can think of for the v45. But the real gurus on those forums would be able to say better than me.

Finally joined the two-wheel club this weekend. Picked up a 95 Road King for my first bike. Haven't rode since I was a youngster. Put 81 miles on it yesterday.

Sold my Road King and bought a 2013 Street Glide.

Just rode it 2,850 miles to the Rocky Point Rally in Puerto Penasco, Mex. Had a fucking blast.
