Santa brought me a Roush CAI! Yes, I know I won't get much out of it w/o a tune. Let me make some stone soup.

The hardest part of installation was cutting the plastic breather tube. My wife had the idea to cut the tube along the long axis with shears. That made peeling the hose off the fitting a lot easier. Installing the weather strip was a little difficult, but some teflon grease eased the installation.

I was a little surprised to see the light come on when I opened the door during installation. I guess there was enough juice in some accessories to power the lights with the battery disconnected. It did reset my radio stations....

What tube did you need to cut??? If I remember correctly the Roush is a rebranded Airaid unit. I had the Airaid unit in my car and don't think I had to cut anything. It should have been pull the old stuff off and put the new stuff on.

Does yours have the venturi insert to increase the volume? Again this is from memory but you can change that intake from the stock size to 100 mm by removing the insert. Tune required though. I had a canned diablo tune I ran for a while before I went with the SC.

Dino & 07 are probably right about Airaid. One of the appeals here was the Roush logo. The boss is a big fan of Brad Keselowski who partners with Roush in NASCAR. I thought that would make her more inclined to drop >$300 on a CAI.

I forgot about that thing. I deleted my PVC system over a dozen years ago so I don't have one of those, thus the confusion.
