So I ordered a manual brake set up through BMR. The generic instructions tell me that I need to drill a different hole to increase leverage. I figured that before buying. The instructions off BMR’s site that says to use the same hole but drill out to 1/2” for a bronze bushing. The preferred manual ratio is 5.5 - 6 to 1. As from the factory it’s just 4 to 1. That doesn’t seem to give me the proper leverage to install in the same position… But if I were to drill a hole above this one, the geometry and angle of the push rod are all screwy. Does anyone have any suggestions or have any of you dealt with this?
