A friend here in the UK has a 2005 with the Edelbrock supercharger fitted and wants a STB, anyone know of one that will fit and still allow the hood to close or will he be better off having one fabricated?

Hi folks, I have an ‘08 Bullitt. I had a problem when install of DOB intake and 122 blower. I could not use stock shock brace. After considering options, I went with a round ajustable Steeda with the billit shock caps.
With the help of molding clay and a little time in my buddys machine shop, we gave it a couple bends and it fits perfectly. Saving the original. Had it powder coated Highland green, and it looks stock.

I also had the DOB manifold with the 122 blower on my Shelby GT. I used a stock GT500 (cheap) brace plus the lowering engine mounts. They weren’t hard to install and I had no issues.

Does anyone have insight on hoods that will fit over my 06 GT with a stage 1 Edelbrock SC? I dont have the original hood anymore, but my tower brace no longer comes close to clearing the SC.

I used steeda eng mounts, which allow for a 0 - 1/4" - 1/2" - 3/4" drop. With the 1/4" drop used, the steeda STB has more clearance to my roush M90 CAI...( which is on the driver's side on a 2010 M90). Steeda STB clears the oem 2010 hood just fine.

I have those motor mounts. Just be aware that they do increase NVH. Not a lot, but it is noticeable for the first couple of days until you get used to it.

I wanted those for the same reason, but having recently learned just how much NVH poly-bushings can cause (it was costly to reverse that bad buying decision on my part), I’ve decided to pass on these, and live without the STB. :(

I barely noticed any increase in NVH with my Steeda eng mounts. But it was there, but only at 600-650 rpm. My 2010 GT is an auto, and with foot on brake, in drive, it idles at 600 rpm. It vanished at 650 rpm. With the new VMP tune, idle is now 750 rpm.....so I don't hear it at all.

I don’t feel anything difference on my 05’ but mine is a different adjustable design. Blow By Racing Adjustable (.25", .50" & .75") Motor Mounts #0507-004

On my 87’ I only use a solid mount on the right side and OEM convertible mount on the left. There is some NVH but acceptable.
