This article supersedes TSB 9-9-6 to update the Service Procedure.

Anyone else suffering from this issue, but the dealer wont fix it? My car always grinds going into 3rd gear when it is cold, yet the dealer tells me that is normal. I had this repaired one time, but it came back. I have had many problems lately, but the dealer can't seem to find anything. If this thing wasn't under warranty, I would tear into it myself.

Take a copy of the TSB in hand to another dealer.

M/T - Buzzing/Oil Canning Noises
TSB 08-2-10
02/04/08
4.6L MANUAL TRANSMISSION - SEPARATOR PLATE
BUZZ - BUILT BEFORE 12113/2007
FORD:
2005-2008 Mustang
ISSUE
Some 2005-2008 Mustang vehicles built before 12/13/2007 and equipped with a 4.6L engine and manual transmission, may exhibit an oil-canning or exhaust rattle/buzz around 2000 - 2500 RPM during the first few minutes of driving after a cold start. The sound goes away after the car warms up.
ACTION
The concern may be caused by the separator plate, between the rear face of the block and the transmission housing, vibrating and/or contacting the flywheel. Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.
Remove transmission per Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 308-03B.
2.
Pry separator plate from rear face of block alignment dowels, slide out from between block and flywheel, and replace with new service part.
3.
Install transmission per WSM, Section 308-03B.

sorry about that. Meant to say I have this tsb issue. just got my GT back from the shop. It's almost like driving a brand new car. The clutch takes so little effort to engage. When I first stepped on the clutch it was so light I though it was broken!

Is there a tsb for water leaking into the compartment on the passenger side, behind the removable panel? I couldn't find it in the lists. (could be blind too) I've got a 2006, and I noticed after rain the other day water was coming out of that panel and the passenger side carpet was wet.
