That electric thing won't last long. There isn't enough lithium reserves on the planet to support where the auto industry is being pushed. Not even close. I like the idea of electric hybrids (maybe even for hot rod stuff). But unless someone comes up with new batter technology it will be short lived. I just looked this up the other day. If tomorrow every new car built in the world was electric/hybrid we would run out of lithium in 13yrs. Of course the change over won't instantaneous, but it won't take long to exhaust (pun intended) supplies.

Not to mention the HORRIBLE environmental effects of lithium production/disposal.

I can't remember the name of the movie, but it had Lee Majors driving around in a race car and he would pull the gas outta the pumps tanks at the old shut down gas stations. That's gonna be me.

Sorry I’ve been mia.... I’m still waiting on Jason to finish that fucking mustang to get my truck in there.

I think we are adding GT intake cams and long tubes to the dob kit as well. I did pick up a 2.3 ported blower as well.... this should be fun!!!

At this rate the F150 will be discontinued by the time Sinner gets his blower on.

Volvo announced they won't be making any more 100% gas eng vehicles, only hybrids + 100% electric vehicles. BMW, jaguar, etc, etc, are all following suit. 100% electric will never happen, you would burn out the over fused xfmr in front of your home 1st. Lithium supplies are limited, and way less than 13 years.

even with trump axing all of the economy requirements, we will see really great mpg. Complicated junk vehicles, though. Use once, recycle.

Gas is cheap because it's easy. Making, transporting, selling, refueling, infrastructure. Gas will be around for a long time because of that. Baring a significant energy storage discovery, high volumes of electric cars are still a ways off.

All these grand sweeping statements about stopping or abandoning the dominant technology are just feel good pie in the sky statements for those that hug trees. From manufacturers to cities to nations, the world runs on gasoline whether you like it or not. It will take many decades to get off gasoline. And doing by 2040 or 2030 ain't gonna happen. Will take longer than that. 2040 is only 22 years away. Really not that far way for a massive shift like this.

Don't get me wrong. I like trees and clean air. And I am not against gasoline sharing the stage with electric.

We'll see how that works out......

    My first questions are....
1.) How will packages be delivered? And I don't mean your new widget from Amazon or where ever. I mean how will businesses get their merchandise to stock shelves? How will truckloads of product get distributed without gas?
2.) Expos facto. How do you exclude a gas car from pre-ban? In the US it it is almost impossible to ban something that already exists.
3.) Are your residents ready for and do they understand the cost/time increases for merchandise that this will make them bare? Because Jaun's Deli isn't gonna eat the extra expense to get your sandwich makin's delivered.

Give me some time and I can come up plenty other questions on the logistics of instituting this kind of change for any city/state/nation/manufacturer.

I'm hoping by then the consumer economy has petered out and everyone just gets one shipment of rice and beans per month, along with a clean garment.

You don't need to exclude anything, the government agents will be around to get your illegal gas vehicles (and AR-15's!)

if you really need to go somewhere (without using augmented or virtual reality,) you can take a johnny cab
