Did some work in my shop/garage. Found a drill press for free. Fixed it up. And also redid my air compressor setup. Now it's all 3/8 line. One 3/8 automotive fittings for my impacts. The other universal 1/4 for everything else. Replaced the drain pitcock. Also replaced the regulator.

Figured out how to run the sprinkler system. The builders ran the system 1x per day for 5 mins each and only 3 d/wk

My grass is crunchy. lol. I bumped it to 20 mins.

I've read the best way is to go with less days and more thorough soaking. So instead of every day for 5 minutes its better to do 3 days for 20 minutes.

Trimmed some tree's in the front pasture and a couple around the house. No pics of the one's around the house though. I've got enough branches to burn for a few days!

Still constructing the shower at my house. What are the odds I would put a screw through the copper pipe? Yeah that was fun.

That's really nice you have an irrigation system installed - is that common in newly built homes in TX?

Cam, depends on the soil conditions. Some home builders do it so it keeps the soil stabilized. Texas goes too long without rain so the ground dries up and then when it does rain it swells causing foundation cracks and cracks in the sheetrock.

thank you sir! I'm sure the horses appreciate it as well. I do too on the giant oak when i'm mowing on the tractor, no more dodging 5" thick limbs.

First time trimming up tree's and using a pole saw, used plenty of chainsaws before. I was surprised at how quick that thing cuts, was awesome. Cutting was the easy part, picking all that stuff up was the suck. I tried convincing the dog to help, but she was more interested in chewing on them than stacking them.

I've been dodging limbs on a few trees but last night I was ready to cut an entire tree down I was so frustrated with it. Not really but I did say to myself I hate this tree! I really just hate it's damn low branches. :whistle1:

As a teen when I mowed lawns I was amazed at the lengths people would go to in order to avoid 5 minutes of work to make their lives easier. I took over one account mowing the model homes for a builder, they had been there about 18 months. Around the back yard the previous guys had weedeated around all the little survey flags stuck in the ground for a year and a half, and there was a 5 gallon bucket of stucco debris against the fence that they had trimmed around as well. All the planted trees still had the ropes and stakes holding them to the ground (trees take about 3-6 months to root well enough to remove the stakes).

I learned early that it pays to clear your obstacles first rather than work around them forever. Even that couple hours of tree work will save you 5-10 minutes of mowing time every week for the next 5 years.

This is why I hate low limbs. I came within kissing distance of this guy. Snakes don't bother me if I see them before hand and know where they are. I don't like surprises.

I only have the hibiscus tree and a burning bush in the front yard to mow around and they annoy hell out of me. The hibiscus is too old (and fragile) and beautiful when flowering to do much to. The burning bush especially is the only shaped/hedge trimming I have to do but I recognize how many years it took to shape it to that size so now feel obligated to keep it and keep it shaped

Replaced two fans today, installed my LiftMaster MyQ control thing (can now control my garages, and interior and exterior lights via phone). That thing is the coolest invention ever.

Got the garage paint finished yesterday as well. Just gonna keep thinking about the flooring.

Now tomorrow I need to tackle cleaning the bathroom grout, and figure out why the hose bib is leaking like a faucet when the water is off... it's coming right out of the shutoff wheel.
