After using M105/M205 combo, I switched to Wolfgang Uber Compound and Wolfgang Finishing Glaze, great stuff and it's mfg is Menzerna. Too bad you weren't close by, I'd let you try some Menzerna P085RD (SF4500) or some CG Black wax I have. Car looks great Mikey!

I was on CG website and saw the black wax/blacklight combo kit on sale. I might pick that up to use on my car and keep the lava for my wife's white lexus. I'll take a look at the wolfgang stuff. I still have the blackfire stuff I got a while back that I never used also when someone posted a sale on them. I think its polishes but I'll have to take a look again.

If you're going to buy another wax, I seriously would recommend BlackICE. It is expensive and you just missed all the sales. If you're interested, I have a code for AG that will help save you some $$$

Whats AG? Depends what you mean by expensive haha. Not looking to spend hundreds on a wax. My car is already to dinged up for me to car about it that much haha. I wish I would have taken better care of it since I first bought it. Ill definitely know how to care for my next car which will most likely be black also.

Mainly used this as practice so I can use this stuff on my wifes car since hers is still new.

Autogeek...BlackICE is $150. I personally like autoality and autogeek for my detailing supplies. There's nothing wrong with CG its just I've found better stuff thats cheaper, no tax, decent shipping cost...

To make things more complicated, add coatings to the equation. I believe thats where its at, definitely less maintenance...

I got most of my stuff from autoality after I joined the detailers club. That black ice isn't too expensive. How much off the 150 with the code?

For a polish line I really like menzerna but I also like HD cut and polish and have read great things about HD adapt. For another wax you could look at zymol Glasur it's an amazing wax Amazon and ebay eill have it cheapest the next wax im going to get is Auto Finesse Illusion.

I usually shop at autoality and detailersdomain

Black has a lot of fillers that will hide the imperfections a little more than some other wax. I love lava but what I prefer to use is zymol. It's not a wax that will hold up like the others I use to reapply it to my car every 2 weeks when I still had the gt

Main reason I got away from Black but it's ok for beginners until OCD kicks it up to the next level lol

Polish = Menzerna SF4500 (PO85rd) is some great stuff.
There is a sticky in this section with all the compounds and polishes listed from most aggressive to least aggressive which might help. Also read/heard good things about the HD line, I havent tried them yet, but they are on my next order.

I use the Zymol Glasur and it really does have a great finish to it....for around $100 it's hard to beat.

And the whole Menzerna line from FG400 up to the SF4500 is great stuff, I highly recommend it.

It's been a process learning how to get the paint perfect...

^this once you get to into it you don't want to hide anything anymore.

Zymol has a good selection for all price ranges like Carbon hits a lower budget. I'm looking at Illusion because I've heard it is a very oily wax and I would thing it would give a black car an extremely wet look.

Fg400 is awesome for one stepping and I like sf4500 but i'm hooked on HD right now and HD polish finishes down amazingly
