Are those Carb Shop carbs everything they say they are? Would you punt a baby for them?

LOL that made me laugh out loud, literally. Ok so I am going to hell.

Looks good, all motor will be bad ass.

I hope so. Even if the dyno numbers come back strong--I hope it translates to the track which as you know is an entirely different story.

Depending on the size spacer the motor likes (between the bottom/top of the manifold to increase plenum size), I might have to cut the carbon fiber hood.

Well made the first shakedown pull today (only to 7500 rpm) and it already made more at only 5700 rpm vs the peak power of the old motor at 7200 rpm. Hahaha! Will post final numbers and a dyno video in a couple days. We are going to make a few adjustments and add a plenum spacer and take it to 8000 rpm.

Unfortunately no---as once I put the motor in I need custom headers built. The old headers will not work. Right now the shop that will be doing the headers won't be able to take the car for 2 weeks, so......

It looks like I will miss it by only a couple weeks. Still going all four days, however.

Well we hit a little bump in the road. We don't like what the oil pressure was doing in the higher rpm ranges, so they are going to put .018 restrictors in -- plus send the brand new moroso oil pump back to get looked at. This motor has the Jesel keyway lifters in it, and there was another thread on here discussing if people were running those wide open or with restrictors. Well we are going to run restrictors.

Because of that we still have not made an 8000 rpm pull (why would we if we didn't like the oil pressure). So it looks like by the time the restrictors are put in and the pump comes back from Moroso it will be a week or two.

So far we are at 1144 @ 7500 rpm and we have 500 more rpm to go as well as adding the plenum spacer. I think it will be 2.0 hp / cubic inch when its done.

Honestly, based on what I have read, I am not seeing much of a difference between this head and the C460 head. However, to be fair, I got these heads from a guy where the exhaust ports were done with nitrous in mind, and this of course is an N/A application, so maybe it would have been different with a brand new set of heads. We are still not done yet so we will see. I will post the dyno sheet and video once its done.

On a positive note, this combo is absolutely killing the old combo in power, throughout the entire curve from 5,000 rpm up. At some points its 250+ hp above the old combo--and we are not done yet.

Going to chassis shop for custom headers to be built, motor plate to be welded in, some other stuff.
