I read that they can tow 7500 pounds. Bullshit! My camper is about 5500 pound and you could not pay me to tow it with a Ranger. My 2000 5.4 F150 struggles sometimes in the hills and with wind.

And if you are buying a $45K+ truck and you buy a Ranger over a F150, PT Barnum was right.

There's a sucker born every minute.

$46K for a Ranger? Holy FUCK Ford has fucked that up! And you'd think at that price the first ones delivered wouldn't be the color of mustard puke.

Exactly. Crazy numbers for those.

This one has a 2.7 Ecoboost

Don't you mean 2.3 Ecoboost?

What eng does this new ranger come with ? are there optional engs ? Lotta $$. F-150's I thought, were cheaper?

Only with a 2.3 Ecoboost and 10 speed. A base engine 4x4 SCREW Lariet F150 will probably approach $60K.

EDIT: Speced out a fully loaded F150 with the 2.7EB base engine $58,600 MSRP.

you cannot compare costs of a car/truck today from one of 20+ years ago - even adjusting the $ for inflation - the differences in features/tech/reliability/safety/efficiency are far different

I'd say Fords pricing is a bit above the rate of inflation!!!

Not all Ford's fault. Vehicles in 1993 didn't have all the tech and "safety" things that today's vehicles have or are required to have. That shit costs money. 1993 was a simpler time.
