Uhhhhh......... how would anyone one else know the answer to that? Only you can answer that question. Do you have room for straight ones? If the answer is yes you get the straight ones. If the answer is no then you get the 90* ones.

Here's what mine looks like. The connecting elbows came from some SS tube scraps I had lying around.

Hi Rick Simons,
Do those cats that you got off Amazon have the metal or ceramic substrate inside? Are you running w\ the rear O2 sensors active & passing emissions as they are shown in the picture? Very interested in your results w\ this setup...……….

If you have a general OBDII scan tool that can access the Onboard Monitor Test data (Mode 6) in your car's PCM, would you look up the B1 & B2 Catalyst Test Rear to Front Switch Ratio & post the results?

I'd highly appreciate any feedback you can give here.

Yup, I've seen a lot of people use these with success. I would be running these but my neighbors think my car's too loud as is/with cats!!

It's not just for cat deletes.

Many high flow cats will also trigger the CEL unless your tuner turns the rear O2s off . . . or you use these mini-cats.

Hi 07 Boss (and OP),
Yeah I knew what part(s) the OP was asking about & the parts you are referring to the OP which should resolve the OP's immediate concerns, but what Rick Simons showed in his post, while maybe he misunderstood what was being discussed in this thread, is a direct reference to this thread here: https://www.s197forum.com/threads/post-cat-o2-sensor-sampling-rate.136776/ & can also be of some value to the OP in this thread as well....maybe not at this moment but can be of value in the future depending on his exhaust design setup w\ cats being operated on a car that is certified for Fed OBDII LEV 1.75 Emissions standards (which all Mustangs are Ford-designed-including the cats-to meet this Fed EPA certification std from '05 forward w\ exception of units sold\registered in California as these need to meet CARB LEV-II stds), thus the reason for my post as I'm interested in Rick Simon's result data as I've found a LOT more info on this subject that sheds even more light concerning aftermarket cat design & I'm prepping to do a redesign on my existing Kooks catted exhaust setup soon to test all as well to see if I can eliminate the use of my CEL's & still pass OBDII IM Readiness checks...…. I'll be posting in the other thread w\ the results when I have all in hand.

Not my intention to hijack this thread...……….so please refer to the follow up posting below:

To the OP,
The parts that 07 Boss mentioned\shown above should fix you up as I also am currently using the BDG 90* CEL Eliminators on my catted exhaust setup to achieve the same thing that you're looking to do & can vouch for them along w\ 07 Boss. I didn't need to use the BDG Mini Cat CEL Eliminators in conjunction w\ the BDG 90* CEL's w\ my setup as my car is still NA & not boosted so for the BDG Mini Cat's 07 Boss can help you out w\ those.....they should work very well as they're designed for large CI (up to 6.4L) high HP racing engines use w/ OEM computer controlled EFI systems w\ emissions.....off road usage, of course (had to put that in for "clarity").

You do however need to check the area underneath where the post cat O2 sensor bungs are located on your exhaust to determine if the BDG Mini Cat CEL's with your O2 sensor installed in them will fit as 07 Boss also alluded to (these BDG Mini Cat's are approx. 1-1/2" to 1-3\4" L) so you may need the 90* ones as well as these were designed to be used in tight quarters but still handle larger CI displacement engines than the 4.6L V8's we have.

Hope this helps.

I believe they are ceramic substrate, at least that's what it looks like inside. I have the rear O2 sensors hooked up and functional. Fortunately where I live emissions tests aren't done (yet). I wanted everything functional in case I ever had to have it tested. I read where you could at one time turn the rear sensors off, but when I bought the tuner they (BAMA) told me the ability to turn off the rear sensors went away a few years ago after a federal mandate. Honestly, I prefer the cleaner smelling exhaust and these cats are supposed to support up to 5.9 liters EACH, so I don't think they're costing much power. I can forward the info to you once I get home this weekend.

Thanks for the response!
Will be looking forward to looking at the OBDII monitor test results. As far as Bama goes, I know for a fact that they used to turn the rear O2's off in their tunes w\o asking....even if you told them you are running cats.....wasn't that long ago either (last year). I know 1st hand as I caught them doing it in their tunes that they sent me (still have the tune files & the comms emails saved so can prove it)....had to make a request to them to stop doing that for any tunes that they did for me when I was using their tunes but I don't use them anymore (was told by Bama that they couldn't provide tunes for my Lunati VooDoo #21270700 cams.....). I'm in the same situation as you are concerning emissions testing so I run cats by choice & am in agreement as well concerning the exhaust smell....also why I run cats. But there is more to this than a lot of the aftermarket exhaust manuf's let on....thus why I'm very curious in the data that I asked for from your car's PCM as that monitor test result data will directly correlate w\ your exhaust setup design as well as any other bolt on parts and\or tune files being used in PCM. Good to know also that your car has been tuned as well as having FBO's......helps w\ my little project.

If interested get w\ me on PM so that we don't hijack this thread.

Again I do appreciate the info!
