I have an 06 base model V6 and need to swap in a new set of seats. I've got a set of 09 or 10 GT500 seats (the born on tag under the seat says 09, the seller said 2012). Rear seats don't have the headrests, so I'm going with 09 or 10. The question I have, do I need to swap the entire OCS bladder and module over from the seat I have currently or will the one in the new seat work?

Side question I have, the driver's side is a 6-way power (forward, back, up, down, tilt) that bolts to the bottom of the seat. The one I have in there is a manual. The manual base is riveted to the seat, is it doable to just drill out the rivets and swap the manual base to the power seat? I know I'll lose the lumbar, though I could wire this in separately at a later date, I really don't need a power seat and I haven't found the extra wires hiding under the carpet.

Thanks!

The seats themselves are actually bolted to the brackets with 4 nuts; they are a little hard to see, but one at each corner. Pull out the bracket/seat as an assembly to see them.
When I put '07 GT500 seats in my '06 v6, did have to do some stuff with the passenger seat, I don't remember what it was. But there is a little harness under the seat that connects to the bladder, seatbelt, module, etc; you'd want to pull the one out of your v6 and put it in place under the seat. The gt500 connector to the car is a different connector, using your under-seat harness works.

Thanks for the wiring harness info. I'm not sure what year the leather seats that are in mine are from. Sorry, should have mentioned they were the stock cloth seats. I looked under them and it's riveted in. The GT500 seats are bolted on (I'll need to tighten one of the bolts on the passenger seat). I saw the rivets and wasn't sure if someone had experience drilling them out. Seats that came with the car are leather, assuming from a GT S197.

The rivets are from the bottom; believe me, there are studs and nuts up under there. I've taken a few of these seats apart, both manual and electric. The seat frame/bottom bolts to the mounting/sliding frame.
I didn't do any drilling..unless maybe on the sensor bag on the passenger side that I was parting out anyways.

Got it. Thank you. I'll look closer when I have them out of the car.

The bolts were hollow and looked like rivets. Got the drivers seat wired in, but looks like motors were damaged and only 1 direction works. Going to pull the base off the old seat and repaint it before swapping the electric seat to manual. Thanks for the help.

Swapped the passenger seats and got the airbag light on. Drilled out the rivets that were holding the OCS computer to the bottom of the seat and did a quick swap just to check and the light is now out. Going to pull the seat back out and drill out the rivets to drop of the computer and then glue the original computer to the seat base.

Pulled the mechanical drivers side base off. Need to tinker with the electric seat and see if I can get it to free up the right side. It's turning as it goes forward/back. Might be a jammed rail (fingers crossed).

Found that mechanical base wasn’t compatible with the seat. Picked up a used electric base for 50.00. Works fine now.
