Lol! Yea, if you are concerned that is literally the approach you must take.
Not really concerned, just try to limit the amount of info I blead to the "cloud". ;)

RIP - You will be missed
If a person has no concerns over Facebook, they probably don’t need to worry. If it’s worth the thought, go to a corporate IT person, or you have your own
point of information. They’ll show you how your phone can be turned on, tracked, camera turned on and recorded. The law passed years ago, required all phones without this remote capability to be turned off, and illegal to turn on service. Why? Since then, capabilities (for national security & our own good in case we need help...aledgedly) have grown exponentially.
I'm not following the boldfaced part very well at all.

Note, the main people needing help being found, are homeless...the cost of providing phones to homeless would be for less than millions of people paying to be followed with there “new” phones. FB is fertile ground for finding people and seeing what site they go to and back track, and everyone who has ever texted any message to them for years. Every message. There really is no fire wall from this. Anyway, that’s the tip of it, and most people don’t care. It s good to know your vulnerabilities, whatever the case.
How new is that "new"?

Personally, I don't think what I might be doing, or talking about, or looking at online is anybody else's business but mine. Hell, to the extent where I look something up to help somebody here or on some other forum, what they'd be tracking wouldn't even reflect on me personally.

As long as you can provide youtube links, that should be good enough for those of us who prefer to remain fb-free.

FB is one of those companies that data mine and track you, I would like to say 'without permission'. But we know noone reads the EULA (not many do) and agreed to be tracked AND LISTEN to via the live internet connected device 24x7 unless you turn it OFF.
I cant get over how ppl dont care about tracking and datamining. It crazy.
There may not be much distance between "without permission" and "in the absence of a negotiated agreement". Functionally, there may not be any.

Norm - Wondering if you checked out any of the videos yet and your thoughts? I have to say most viewer response on facebook has been quite positive. Lots of great info shared in the chat session on it as well.

441 members so far on his Speed Therapy Society site would disagree with you. Quite a few hundred people that attended the sessions would also disagree. He had many request's to do more of this and has more planned. He is giving out 40 years of racing knowledge and building championship winning race cars for literally nothing. Say what you want, he's got 100 times more class than you'll ever have.

Brown doesn't say shit. He just babbles. I listened to the part about how important he thinks springs are (really no shit, never knew that) and that he is a spring guy but I never actually heard him say you need 700 lb fronts to match with 350 lb rears to match with this swaybar. Its all just generic nothingness. Just buy my stuff, trust me i know what I'm doing, don't mix and match, I want all your money. Screw that guy. He's a snake oil salesman.

My car is nothing but a mix of components, some new, some used, some vorshlag, some ford racing, some eibach, some hyperco, some bmr, some shit I made, etc.

But that mutt of a car is building up quite the trophy collection.

Your more than welcome to your opinion, but like I stated many others including myself disagree. Congrats on you wins.
When you have Pirelli World Championships, build winning race cars for Steve Saleen, and start your own performance company, then come see me.

Obviously you don't understand the difference between Paul vs Kenny and sponsor vs engineer and performance vs snake oil.

When KB transforms your car into something slightly faster than a pinto, you come see me.

I understand quite well thank you. Paul was the driver, and probably one of the best ever, sadly he was taken too early. It also takes a well setup car to make a good driver great doesn't it? And I've seen a really fast '79 Pinto on track at Road America I wouldn't make any jokes about.

I will also say for several years Kenny has run on track with Northwoods Shelby, except the last two years, he himself driving was always one of, if not the fastest car in his run group. I watched him drive away from a very fast viper.

HPDE is not racing. The only guys going fast are the top few guys in the fastest group. Being semi fast in group 4 is nothing.

But instead of arguing (and yes I'll make fun of Pintos all day, every day) and since you have watched more of this than probably everyone else on this forum combined, make us a believer. What are the top 5 or 10 things that kb said that are so useful or informative or setup tips, etc. Because all I hear is endless, generic, non specific rambling, ie springs are important, anti squat is important, weight transfer is important, etc. But I did not hear one actionable bit of information.

Correct it is not racing, but most of the cars in group 1(fastest group) that run with Northwoods are full blown race cars. Couple of NASCAR type cars, I've seen a Porsche doing 175 mph on the speed indicator going into turn 5, by no means are any of the cars in this group semi fast. 205 cars registered in 4 run groups.

You can watch and learn or chose to bitch about it, choice is completely yours. You'll only tear apart whatever I say anyway so I'm not going down that road with you.

See, you can't even come up with a few useful tidbits of info from many hours of senile old kb babble.

I'm afraid I have to agree with Racer47 on KB's on-camera presence. No real 'meat', no substance to grab hold of. I couldn't find the other thread where I had a youtube link to click on right away, so that's the Cliff's Notes version as I recall it. I'd hoped he'd gotten more comfortable on camera.

I really don't think fb is the right platform for serious technical discussion, though it probably is a good way for KB to attract the kind of followers who are willing to be spoon-fed something they know nothing about and who are unlikely to be listening with any sanity-checking of their own going on in the background. IOW, most newbies to what's really a collection of engineering topics.

And the other huckster, Ron Sutton, had people snowed too. And put on a program that was well attended, but inaccurate. He got in with some of the Pro Touring promoters and had a lot of publicity. But it was a sham.

Well fortunately people have to make their own decisions on things, not everyone likes the same things. What works for one guy may not work for the next. No two drivers are the same.

I personally think it's pretty classless for you guys at Vorshlag to come on here and throw shade at your competitors. That kind of stuff gives me a sour taste in my mouth for ever doing business with you guys. And I know you don't really give a shit so I'll leave it at that.

It's not that people have to make their own decisions as much as it's on those giving advice to be technically accurate in their guidance.

In KB's case, I suspect he's still mired down in the flexible-chassis Fox-body days, which in turn tended to carry "solutions" over from the even more flexible and crude 1960's originals.
