Did a thing a few weeks ago and grabbed a GT350/GT500 "swing".

Finally got around to mounting it.

And...I love it. Now I just need to find a way to fashion a gurney flap/wicker bill as I'm not paying $600 for the Anderson Composites one.

Got services I have not done in 14 yrs...yup, you heard right: power steering fluid flush; brake fluid flush; serviced transmission oil/filer and replaced differential fluid while at it...

Adjusted counterweights and base pressure on the clutch, and re-set the adjustable rear control arms after installing the Magnum. The pinion angle was off by 4 degrees, glad I took a look at it.

Bought some used BBK LTH and BBK offload x pipe. Got a killer deal for them, the guy bought them and installed them new from American Muscle in April. But decided to go with a turbo set up and needed them gone. Saw a lot of pictures and even videos of the process of them being taken off and boxed up. Shipped today, so should be getting them by the end of the week! Hoping to have installed this time next week.

Took the 2018 PP1 10 speed auto on a couple 1/4 mile runs out on a quiet country road, 1st time trying it with this car and used Track Addict app to time my runs
Temp was 80* humidity 52 dew point 61 2nd run below, 1st run was a 13.160 so pretty close... app does not give 60ft times, spun tires just a bit off launch. Car is completely stock. Ran it in Drag Mode

0-60 5.0 sec
0-100 10.3 sec
0-115.4 13.1 sec
6.033 @ 69.9 330ft
8.813 @ 90.8 1/8 mile
11.192 @ 105.2 1000ft
13.153 @ 115.7 1/4 mile

Installed a DOB Frankintensioner today after I had a Roush tensioner break. DOB states it is not pretty but it works. They are right, it’s not pretty and I sure hope it works.

Mine has held up fine for the past 15k miles, aside from the one time the ratchet slipped out of the outer tensioner when I was changing the belt, and the tensioner broke around the 1/2" square hole.

Installed the bracket to allow me to use 6 point harness with stock seats. Now I can be securely fastened in my seat after I drive multiple hours to an autocross event.

My race seat was just too darned uncomfortable for long drives.

What harnesses did you go with? Are they DOT approved? It appears that you are retaining the OE belts, when you street drive, do you only use the OE belts? Thanks

I still have the 3 point for street driving. The harness is not DOT approved, but it is FIA rated racing 6 point.

This was a better option for me since I already had the 6 point for my racing bucket. I have a quick fit harness that I bought before this bracket, but I'll be selling it as this setup fits my needs especially since my rollbar is still installed.

I believe the only DOT approved harness out there is made by Scroth. It is DOT approved because it uses factory mounting points and stock retractor/locking mechanisms. I think it's only a 4 pt harness too. I have one I never installed, I'll have to take a look at it.

For the S197 Corbeau also makes a 4 point harness and harness bar, I have both in my 2010 with my Roush seats. Their 4 point uses the factory locations as well. The harness bar is a little bit of a job to put in and reduces access to the back seat, but allows proper angle for the harness over the shoulders. It also adds stiffness to the car. I still have the factory harness and use both on the track so my seat belt alarm doesn't ding. I put the 4 points on first, then pull the factory over the top.

You do know you can turn that off? The procedure is in your owner's manual.
Did not know, never looked, guess I'll have to check it out. Thanks.

Edit : Found this on google, but wondering does this disable the airbag?

2005 to 2010 Mustang
  1. Turn the ignition to "On." Wait for the seat belt light to turn off, and then connect and disconnect the seat belt nine times (ending with it disconnected).
  2. Wait for the air bag light to turn on, then off. Connect and disconnect the seat belt one time. The system will be disabled.
