Not a bad looking car.

I'm goign to suggest a project name of Vanilla. LOL

Lastly, I'd liek to suggest you consider '96-'98 taillights.

Upcoming changes:

- New tint, the existing tint is in pretty bad shape.
- Smell, have some stuff on order to hopefully fix this issue
- Tune up parts on order, should be here Friday. I'll tackle that this weekend hopefully.

Thanks dude! I'm pretty stoked. The front license plate is gone now. Just left a couple of ugly holes. Maybe a Cobra front bumper cover? Hmmm.

The left tailpipe hangs a bit lower than it should. May have to get a BFH out this weekend and adjust it.

EDIT: PO ran conventional Pennzoil 10-30, I'm assuming this is OK?

I've always run 20W50 and ONLY FL1A oil filters in/on my 302's. As has my Father and brother. In my experience even the best running, best kept 302's consume some oil over 4000 miles. Changing to 20W50 stops this.

Right on, thanks. I've never been a Pennzoil guy, but I guess I'll keep some around for this thing.

And here's this gem:

I'll have to dig in to this mess this weekend too.

I had a '98 GT coupe. 4.6, 5 speed, stock with only a shifter, Magnaflow catback and 3.73's. I loved that car. Sometimes I miss it.

My first was a '99 GT coupe, base (Deluxe). I only had a shifter and weld-in Flowmasters, but I loved it. It was hella fun, and quicker than my '06, at least in the 1/8th mile.

Just got back from lunch, and my truck has spoiled me. I've forgotten how small they are, and how low these cars sit.

Also, it's going to need struts and springs.

Trucks do spoil you. I went from a 2007 F150 to a 2013 Focus for commuting. WOW. The car is tiny. Awesome on fuel. But tiny.

She looks like a cream puff brother, what a score! If you do the Cobra bumper cover, might as well throw on a 95 Cobra R hood......and it begins.

Yeah it is in really good shape, to be 26 years old. It was repainted (no damage, just a repaint) and it was a pretty decent job. That made a big difference in the appearance. I've always loved the look of that Cobra bumper/hood. Quite menacing, for sure.

The Cobra was a much better looking car from such minimal changes. And the 95 R is the best looking SN95

They are def better looking.

Small update - it seems the high-RPM miss was due to old/bad gas? On the way home Tuesday I stopped and filled it up (93, just because). Since then, I haven't noticed the high-RPM miss that I initially noticed. It was nearly empty when I filled up, so I'm chalking it up to that. It still runs out of steam past 5K, but I'm guessing that is just the nature of this engine with this mileage. I haven't spun it past 5500 or so at this point. I don't want to blow it up the first week I have it lol.

I paid a bit closer attention to the speed/tach this morning - 85 indicated (I'm figuring 80 actual) was right at 2750 best I can tell. 75 indicated (70 actual?) was almost 2500. Does that still sound like 373s? I'll try to find a GPS app today and get some real numbers. I don't trust the speedo at all.

This weekend I'm also going to dig in to the trunk and see if the keyless entry module is present. It didn't come with any fobs. It had an aftermarket alarm at one point, since then mostly removed. There is a dash toggle and LED still remaining, probably not a big enough deal to try and source a new dash panel.

Google maps on the phone shows speed while driving. Type in a destination and go.
