That's what I paid new for my 2014 Mustang GT Cali Special seven years ago. Traded it in 2 years ago, got 20K and the dealership sold it for 23,500 a month later.

This is also kind of about mileage. A 55000 mile example would be about $5000 cheaper.

Mine had 24K miles. Low, but not as low as that one.

If you want a low mileage solid rear axle GT then your options get smaller by the week. When I bought mine, I was certain the new IRA suspension was going to have major teething problems for the first few years but that never materialized.

Now some reports say the Solid Axle is not all that bad. My take is in looking for a Track Apps Cluster which only comes on Leather Seat Mustangs, there are lots of 100,000 mile examples in the junkyard right now. Some with 150,000 miles. That alone is called a test of time.

It's really not as bad as some of the IRS crowd would have you believe. True, it's not as nice over bad pavement, but the handling is better than it's typically given credit for. Especially after a few carefully-considered suspension/wheel/tire/alignment tweaks.

My 18000 mile Track Apps Donor car. The Cluster said it took a 1.85g hit. The reason I post this, I have been looking at a lot of wrecked 2014 Leather seated Mustangs with over 100,000 miles with junkyards wanting top dollar for their parts. By luck his yard outside of Akron Ohio wanted $150 shipping included for the cluster.

So are you trying to add stuff to your existing car or find a deal on one with that stuff already on it? I’m confused.

I checked Carvana and the 2014 GT from the first post is my old Mustang. I bought it new in July 2014 for 29990 + TTT and sold it with 13K on the clock in July 2019 for $24,500. I had a hard time selling it at that time and Carvana offered me $22,750 for it back then and the local dealers were right at $20K on their offers.

It's actually a GT Premium Track Pack so, it's got more than just the Brembo package on it.

I can't believe the asking prices on used cars are so high right now.

Looking for Premium parts for a Base car. All Premium cars have leather seats. Leather Seats and Premium Radios are not exactly plug and play on Base cars. Base cars are worth updating.

I did receive a $25,000 offer in trade for a 2020 leftover $50,000 full price car. I am not sure that would be cost effective. Best so far on my new Track Apps Cluster is .87 for brake and .60 for accel and .73 side to side. Not bad for a 2014 Base with GT500 Brakes all around and 255/45/18 Run Flat Tires. The tires do complain at these levels.

.73? those must be some HORRIBLE tires. Even my pig nose heavy fusion sport peaked at over a G with 245 summer tires (@ NJMP).

They do say the New Mustangs are the Old Fusions. Then my readings are 1/2 that speed on a neighborhood street on Bridgestone all weather run flats.

My next project. Not sure it will help or not. A set of 19 inch Drift Tires and Boss Sway Bar. The sway bar does use one time bolts at 160fp. I need to order those.

Easy . . . OP is just getting started with hard cornering and he doesn't need to be pushing himself out past what his current skill set can safely manage. We've had years to get comfortable with this, he's had at best a few weeks.

Which corner on which NJMP course does your 1.05g data belong to? NJMP is, or at least was, my home track. And I can't line up your distance with any point on either track where I'd expect to be seeing max lat-g's.

I wasn't commenting on driver ability. I assumed modern perf cars, especially Fords flagship sporty car, could pretty easily get well into the low to mid .8G's, no matter the tire (especially compared to a 4000+ lb Fusion with TTV-6/Auto/AWD hardware all jammed into the front end). He didn't indicate it was him, holding it back, but I guess it's possible.

I believe it was turn 10 on Lightning, but it was 3 years ago and the HLT vids are stuck on my old phone. I did download a couple back then and this screen shot seems to line up. The distance, I think, is multiple laps (like total). Only my second or 3rd time on a track, so I figured Fusion would at least allow me to drive, not having to shift.
