Did brake swap all around yesterday. 4 piston Brembos and rear calipers powder coated Illusion Spanish Fly. In the shade it’s Bronze, in direct light it’s Gold. Matching Centric black hat rotors and 104 series brake pads all around. Eibach 5mm spacers all around. Boss 302 brake lines.

Made a sheet from 3 mm ABS to fill the gap at the underbody on my 07 GT. Was more difficult than I thought. Have not done a high speed test yet, but no problems or noises so far.

Update: Tested up to 110 MPH, a bit less hood shake and probably a bit less front lift. Next step will be to close the gap between the OEM middle panel and the axle. The 2010 (?) is equipped with some part, impossible to buy it here. Got a 4 mm ABS sheet but needs some reinforcement and no idea how/where to fix it.

I was just making sure that I could not have made that sweet conversion like you did. 14" rotors won't fit in my 18" Pony package wheels so I painted my calipers and used the 13.2" rotors from the GT. They work great but they are not Brembos....

My '13 has the 14" Brembos and I'm running 18" wheels.
Your pony package wheels probably won't fit because of the caliper, not the rotors.
You either need spacers or wheels meant for an '07-'10 GT500 or '13-'14 GT with Brembos

Yes, the stock 18s won’t fit because the barrel is too small. I’m using Enkei EKM3 18x8 40 offset and 5mm spacers, just for extra clearance. I picked up the wheels used and cheap and swapped the stock Pirellis onto them as they came with winter tires. I already have winter wheels so didn’t need the tires so I sold them.

Touren TR76 will also fit. 18x8 35 offset.

Thanks. Eventually planning on 19s for the summer but that’ll be next year or the year after. So to hold me off I picked up the Enkeis just so I can get the Brembos on this year. Had them for a couple years but didn’t install them as I didn’t have wheels to accommodate for the summer. Still need to buy 1 spare 18x8 wheel with a skinny tire so in case I get a flat on a front wheel, I don’t have to switch around the wheels.

You can easily drive that fix T-5 with out a clutch. It’s tricky in stop-n-go traffic though.

Negative.

So, I was cruising in 5th datalogging on rt1, 60-ish. For the exit, I popped in neutral, idled at 1000 to stop. I put it in 1st to make my turn, hear some scraping sound. Let the clutch out, sound stopped car will not move. Pedal feels like its over adjusted, no play. Did I mention I dont have my phone with me? If it moved, it would have been no issue driving it back home. I have never seen a clutch go out like that. And I had the trans out a few thousand miles ago, clutch still looked almost new. I dont drag race, so there is no abuse on the clutch. I am baffled what it could be. Its in the spot where I will be pulling the trans, just time from here. And the auto adjuster has been replaced with adjustable cable and fire wall adjuster. I thought about just unhooking the cable and see if it would move, but said fuck it, just went and got it with my trailer. I now own a 12 v winch. lol

Its not a t5 btw, it was auto originally. I swapped it with the 3550 swap kit.

Time for the yearly pull the spark plugs; clean, add a little anti-seize and reinstall gig. I now use Brisk one-piece plugs; expensive, but worth it... The guy I bought the car from never changed plugs. That was certainly no fun; guarantee never doing that again.

Everything worked out flawlessly. No drama, all came out easily. Cleaned 'em up with a wire wheel. Added a little silver and back in they went. Also changed out the TB to the 65mm FRPP I've been saving for a while. Needs a slight tune adjustment by Lito as it'll go lean when I blip the throttle so waiting to hear from him on next steps.

Finally got everything back together after engine rebuild with forged rods and pistons, new timing parts and valve springs. Cylinders were honed, block was line bored, and heads were lightly ported and valves reseated. I was at the limits of the engine with 500rwhp and 450 torque. Everything was done with reliability in mind as I plan on keeping the car and driving it hard for as long as I can. Once it gets broken in and dyno’ed, I’ll see if I can up the boost a bit. Another 100 miles of break in and I’ll have Lito check things out.

I believe I’m in a similar spot with mine and I’m curious if you kept the stock CR or went up/down any?

We used forged pistons from DSS which resulted in a CR of 10.12:1.
