An interesting observation here in Fairbanks where the new Bronco is only recently showing up in numbers. New Fords are only trickling into the area. There are more new, previously owned broncos setting on the Dodge/Jeep dealership lot than the local Ford lot. I see the little stickers on the rear of the broncos that identifies the dealership that originally sold the vehicle as being local. Are the new broncos so bad that multiple people would buy one and trade it in on a Jeep in just a few months?

Maybe they got tired of waiting for their Bronco to arrive and traded it in pre delivery for a jeep sitting on the lot. Another level of how f'd up our species has become.

After seeing them around town, I gotta say I like them. If I ever have 80k sitting around with nothing better to do with, I'll buy one.

Used Broncos are going for more than new. They are flipping them for a profit.

Used Broncos are selling for more than list. People are buying them and flipping them for a big profit. The average price for a used Bronco is $75,000

Of course, the main reason is customers who already received their Bronco are looking to make a quick buck flipping it on the used car market. As you can see, it’s easy to have a 50% or even 100% profit from the sale, depending on the trim and your selling skills. But there’s another reason that few speak about.

As you know, many dealers markup the Bronco with huge amounts of money above the MSRP. That’s why Ford stepped in and threatened to cut allocations to dealers engaged in such practices. Of course, when there is a will, there is a way, so the dealers came up with a clever tactic to circumvent that.

They moved all Broncos they could get in the used cars lots, avoiding Ford ire on marking up the price. This has the immediate effect that they could sell them for whatever price they want. And, of course, this also drove the average selling price of the used Broncos to $73,573 as documented by the iSeeCars study.

I don't live near the desert so that wouldn't interest me. My Bronco has gone through anything I have run it through. For $30k I can buy a Can Am Maverick beat that and still have my Bronco to tow it home.
I would not trade my Bronco for a jeep ever.
