It's $250 for manuel to tune and as soon as it's done it will be more for every mod. The SCT program is $350 and it can accommodate all mods. Does anyone have this and how do you like it? Thanks

I have it, and I have been using a few other tuning softwares for other vehicles. (Dynojet, Tweecer, TunerPro).
I have full access to "break the law", and its a huge learning curve compared to pre-vct type tuning. It will take you time to figure it all out and get the results you are after. Im just starting to "get" the coyote.
If you are not an experienced tuner, go with Lito. If you have time and know what the engine needs, get PRP.

Yeah I've been trying to learn. Ford has a book on just tuning the coyote $500. Wow that's nuts. I already have the SCT X4 or i might have gone with HP tunes. So the $349 is limited to one vehicle as is the $400 X4(married). I will have alot into tune that could have helped on mods.

My tune from Lito was only 200. It has been a great mod to my car. What I was a little disappointed by was that once I loaded the custom tune from Lito all the canned tunes on the device were gone.

You can 'sort of' use PRP for more than one vehicle. But each vehicle will need it's own X4. And you only get one strategy code for the $350. In theory, you could tune any number of vehicles with the same strat. I know you can buy access to other strategies, not sure how much.
I'm in the same boat, already had X4, or I might have gone with HP (and their stupid credit system).

This is due to SCT's defaults. Canned tunes are disabled when you load a custom tune by default. This has to be turned off in Advantage before exporting the CEF file he sent you. Than in theory you would still have both. But I have never tried to confirm it works.

I have had the same volley of wanting to learn to tune.

If you really are at 0 when it comes to tuning, PRP will overwhelm you with the number of tables and fields you can edit.

I would recommend getting a known good tune to run so you know what it should generally feel like and you can log to see spark, MAF, dashpot etc before you dive head first into your own tuning to at least have a baseline.

The only thing I would factor with Lito is he might change your factory strategy and PRP will use your factory strategy (I think), so tuning and datalogging between the two might be different (mine was). YMMV

You generally dont want to strategy swap. This also has a checkbox to enable a strategy swap. Its a moot point anyway, as tunes emailed are .CEF files which you cannot open with PRP. Tunes are saved to disk as .ATF files.
Device updater can only load CEF files to the x4.
ATF files can only be loaded to the x4 with PRP.
Edited- file extention changed with last update. PRP now auto updates every time I open a tune file.

Lito sends me a tune, email? I can then save that to a flash drive to reuse later? Im totally unaware how tech works but I want to do a 5.4 swap later along with updates to this 4.6 like heads and pistons both can be used in 5.4 so im leaning towards pro. To possibly save money in future. Brother Miker, My Lito tune is $250 because of cams and when you add yours it's more money which I understand as he is doing more. Headers, more money, pistons, more money…

Lito, and all other tuners who use SCT will email you a "yourtune.cef" file. Yes, save file local. You load the .cef to the X4 using SCT Device updater program. Than go flash the tune to the car.
