Well my check engine light came on, I looked the code up and it says its something to do with the Pressure Control Solenoid A, when It came on I had the O/D light flashing as well then it stopped. Im not really sure what all is going to go into fixing the problem. Im going to clear the code and see if it comes back or not. Anybody ever have this code come up? BTW trans is an auto.

Found something here http://www.sctflash.com/PDF/3000-3015 small.pdf page 5 under DTC Says, Pressure control solenoid malfunction.

^^Just started hesitating going into the next gear, so I thought it would not be long before it would stop shifting. when its your daily driver you can't take as many chances as you normally would, oh and I just thought it was the sylenoid, they tore it down and then said it was the bands as well, you never know!!

The 7G391 solenoid body assemblies were known to have issues on 2002-2005 T-Birds and 2005 Mustangs equipped with 5R55S transmissions. In April 2007 there was even a Customer Satisfaction Program 07N08 for vehicles registered in CA, MA, ME, NY & VT that covered this part under the emission warranty out to 3 months / 50,000 miles.

A revised part# was released several years ago.

Chance are it will. I had to replace the solenoid body assembly in my 05 @ 8,000 miles. Vehicle was over 36 months, so I got the privilege of paying for the part and doing the install myself.

How much would you think something like that would cost to do?

about a 2 hour job on a lift, plus parts. Probably would be a good time to change the fluid & filter since the majority of the fluid is already drained.

The concern I would have is the solenoid body assembly is a known issue. If/when it fails, if caught in time the transmission may not have suffered internal damage. Continue to drive it and it will lead to a major failure.

No problem

I hope this cures your problem and your transmission has not already suffered an internal failure. Mine did, but that's another thread

burnt smelling/looking fluid and/or debris in the filter or pan. Even if there is no indication of a failure, that does not mean there hasn't already been damage done to the clutch discs or bands.
