    Exhaust burning wires

    The heat from my exhaust burned through the plastic that contains the wires in this harness so i wrapped it in aluminum tape to hopefully insulate them. It looks like the tape sucked up to the wires after taking it for a drive. Does this seem like a good idea or should i find a different solution?

    Oil in coolant?

    UPDATE: I put water wetter in there and ive seen on other forums people think it is pulling grease out of the water pump bearing. That sounds possible to me, idk.

    Auto 4.0, but I know that there are variations sometime in 07 I think? Do you have the door jamb sticker for them?

    Ok, that's good to know. So would a post 2/06/07 trans fit a pre 2/05/07 car better? I'm mostly just looking to learn more about the transmissions for these cars. I guess to be more specific I'll ask will any v6 trans work on any v6 motor as simple as a 1 for 1 swap without and adapters or...

    What transmissions are supposed to work on what cars? Which ones can we use off of different models? And searching for transmissions i see a split on the 07 cars between cars made before 2/05/07 and ones made after 2/06/07. What happened then?

    I'm adding American muscle's halo fog lights and am looking for a good place to connect the positive side. Can I tap it in to the positive post that powers the fuse box? I'll include a photo of the spot I'm talking about. Thanks!

    Best spark plugs and wires?

    I know the last post was in 2015, but I don't wanna start a new thread just for this. I put ap5143 gapped to .054 in my 07 v6. Measured the gap in the plugs I took out (motorcraft) and they were gapped at .074. Anybody have any thoughts on this?

    Yeah, it is a separate unit on mine also. I'm thinking I probably just got a little Trans or motor oil in the expansion tank when I topped it off

    Thanks for the reply! I did replace some atf the week before. Actually I replaced almost all of the fluids recently, at that time I did top off the coolant so maybe I just cross contaminated then and hopefully there is no hole.

    Today is the first time I've seen this and I looked at my coolant within the past couple of days. I replaced my spark plugs, idler pulley, Serpentine belt, belt tensioner, and went for a drive. Changed oil and filter after and at the end of all of it noticed some dots of what looked like oil...
