So I stopped loving my grabber pony knob when I tried out a super heavy (~500g) solid stainless Blox knob. It was cheap from ebay and it makes the mt-82 shift noticeably better.
When it gets super hot I put the grabber pony back on so I dont burn myself but I cant stand how it feels without the...
Youre not going to get a "better torque curve" and make the same power without increasing displacement or increasing compression significantly (which they wont do because it needs to still be able to run on 87 octane).
What exactly is wrong with the Boss torque curve anyway? Its a hell of a lot...
That 3.7 should be able to take a 100 shot like its nothing. Just use a high quality nozzle and hope whatever amount of poor distribution your getting in the manifold isnt enough to blow it up.
For a higher shot than that I would be looking at direct port.
If youre going with E85 you should go with the 11.5:1. You probably wont be able to throw enough boost at it even at that "high" compression, unless you have some really fancy turbo(s).
A hollow bar can be stiffer and lighter than a smaller diameter solid bar. There are packaging issues with large diameter swaybars which is why its common to see them made solid on many cars where the stiffness is needed.
This is why roll cages are made out of tubing and not skinny solid bar...
We are long past the days of shitting tunning and poorly designed combustion chambers. You can throw a lot of boost at 11.0:1 CR with a well-tuned, modern engine. Ive seen s2000s make 600+hp on pump, with the stock block (which is 11.0:1).
The VVT on the coyote just makes it all the easier...
