I have no idea how people fit garden hoses down there.

Don't judge me.
I'm in the exact same boat man, love the hotrods sound and drive ability is great I just hate the hp loss

I felt like I had little loss of torque with my Detroit rockers. They are supposed to be very similar to the hot rods. I doubt you'll notice if you have 4.10s.

NSR cams are fun and sound great but for me they were only worth a tenth at the track. If you dont have proper tires ie DRs or bias ply and LCA's yet, do those mods first. They will give you better ET results than cams will.

I have daily driven COMP 127300's and 127500's in my car. While neither of these are NSR, the 127300's were very "daily driver" friendly....fairly smooth idle and good power.

I am probably against the norm here but I can't see spending money on cams if you are going to run the stock springs. If you want the benefit of more power then do cams with enough duration and lift to give you something. This type of cam will require better springs. You are already illegal with the o/r X pipe, so why the statement about emissions legal car. You will have a difficult time passing emissions if you start messing with your internals.

I agree with these guys. I have the 127300's myself and DD my car. I did have my tuner lower my idle though.

I have 127300's (Stage 2 VSR). I feel that if your going to go through the trouble to change the cams, might as well change the springs. They are very driveable, and really add to the sound quality of the car. I haven't ran the 1/4 yet, but I have a Saleen blower running 9.5 lbs, 127300's, pypes LT's, custom built H-pipe, custom exhaust, Techco 100mm MAF, and I still get over 20 mph on highway. I had the cams before the S/C, and just loved them.

I wouldn't run cams unless I was planning on making 600rwhp+. Anything short of that I would run the stock cams. There are much better places to spend the money.

I'll let you know in a few days, I'll be installing my BBR stage 1's this week. I'm running full factory exhaust besides the MBRP axle back. (I'm planning on going turbo soon, so no need to spend cash on LT)

I agree, and I have cams! I like the way they sound but I haven't noticed a difference at the track since I've had them in. It could be the tune, however, because I know it's running pretty rich. Just don't care to chalk up the money for dyno tune for a NA car.

Anyway, I'd use the money on gears instead if you plan to remain N/A for awhile. I went from 3.55s to 4.10s and really enjoy them. Kind of wish I switched to 4.30s now.

My BBR's are installed. They sound amazing and pull hard 3500+
I'm still on the factory mid-pipe and manifolds. Lito is doing my remote tuning, his initial tune was pretty good. The car drives like stock and in total I spent about 500 for cams and bolts. Some people spend that on a axle back. It took me the better part of my Tuesday to install them and CMDP.

Off topic, but dang quicksilver05, your car looks sooo freaking clean, bud! I don't really know exactly what it is, but your car is even making those fanblades look good! You need to post up some pics in the pics and vids section.

finally got around to uploading my vid.
BBR Stage 1 cams, MBRP axle back, stock mid-pipe, and stock manifolds.

Thanks man, I just saw this comment. I love the way the car has turned out so far.

Sounds good! Especially with the catted mid-pipe. Get some drive-by videos now!
