What is the percentage lost on the automatic transmission for the coyote

It really doesn't matter much. What's measured on a chassis dyno is what hits the road.

OP, are you asking for general knowledge or is there more to it?

I'm not familiar with the 6R80 (the auto trans the 5.0's have) but as a general rule, autos have 20% drivetrain loss where sticks are around 15%.

I think the 5.0 sees less loss due to the electric steering. Most of the stock manuals I've seen dyno right at 365-370. This would be a drivetrain loss of about 12-13%.

I have seen auto's around 360 to 365 at the wheels... 362.5/420 = 86% or a 14% driveline loss.

14% for an auto is VERY good.

Or maybe Ford under-rated the engine?
