I recently purchased 05-09 Mustang LED Tail Lights (Red and Smoke) from another company. These tails are/were made by Eagle Eyes which should now be Raxiom??
I was told Raxiom is an AM in-house brand only and this is why I am reaching out to you for some advice or guidance on what to do with my situation (The other company has not responded to the issue I am having with them)...I really wanted to buy these smoked tails from AM but AM does not carry the smoke style, only the clear style:
My problem:
When I installed, and fully plugged in both of the taillights, the inside light panels (closest to the trunk) on both LED taillights, would not light up at all. This problem only occurred when both taillights were fully connected to the taillight harness. Which is the stock harness.
If I only plugged in only the two outer connectors of the harness (turn signal panels) and had the inside panel (above the reverse light) unplugged, on the right LED taillight: then the left LED taillight would fully light and work properly.
If I did the opposite, and only plugged in the two outer connectors of the harness (turn signal panels) and had the inside panel (above the reverse light) unplugged on the left LED taillight: then the right LED taillight would fully light and work properly.
Seems like there is not a full circuit being made??
One of the reviewers on AM had the exact same issue for these tails:
I just wanted to get AM thoughts and opinion of what I should do and if there is a fix for this problem?
