Yea, well, that's because the "protrusion" on the Coyotes function as a chute holder.......no need for that on previous models..........too slow.

I am not normally a fan of these decklids that delete the faux gas cap. I think they make the rear end look to plain, like something's missing. But I will say that your car pulls it off quite nicely! Looks dang good.

My question is what do you do to keep moisture and water out of the hole?

I'd assume plenty of double sided tape stuck close together

The panel does not leave a gap at all. It also comes with heavy duty automotive grade double sided tape already installed. So you will have to hit the gap with high pressure spray to get any water in there. Being OCD, in addition to the rust inhibitors that came with the kit, I hit the inside of the trunk opening with rustoliem paint and covered the hole with vinyl decals to keep any water out. FWIW, bottom of the trunk lid has drain holes so any water that makes it inside should drain out easily.
