i gotta call bull, if he starts feeling dizzy and goes to the hospital the doctors wouldnt just say "go straight home", they should have had his wife come pick him up or something. that isnt something they would risk him driving home and passing out

That sucks man. He should've never accepted your payment until he was sure he would be able to ship in a timely and appropriate manner. Best of luck my friend, I hope it all gets worked out.

Thanks guys, I'll post up the rest later after I edit out all of the personal info (thanks for the heads up wes!). Not trying to air out dirty laundry but I feel that it's information that's pertnant.

To delay and delay and then force a paypal dispute is just wrong.

The road to Hell is paved with good intentions. Sounds like he never thought it through before selling the engine, then spent the money before figuring out how he could deliver it.

Whenever hospital is mentioned my alarm goes off. That's the biggest excuse used by ebay sellers who don't have what they sold you to buy time.

I feel that if the item hadn't been shipped then a refund shouldn't be a problem. Especially considering the circumstances.

I know that James has a lot of health problems, and his mother is pretty old. I'm not surprised that he is having troubles. However, he should have certainly returned the money. I know he is a much better person than that. I wish I still had his phone number...

Good luck getting your money back.

If your life is too busy to ship/deliver stuff after being sold, don't put it up for sale to begin with. Its not complicated. Hopefully GTKidd gets money back quickly.

^^^ Good point, Paul.

I also consider myself to be a pretty understanding and patient guy, but if I were in GTKidd's shoes right now, I would be beyond mad. Hopefully BigRis will make it right very soon.

Pretty obvious scammer, he sure went through the litany of responses in order to stretch things out long enough that he could keep the money. Hope PayPal comes through for you.

Hey guys I just received the decision from paypal and they decided in my and are crediting the full amount back to my account, I would highly recommend anyone who is buying online to use their services n it's worth it.
After reading AnotherS197GT's post I ddecided not to post the pms between James and myself because at this point it's settled and I don't want to it to turn into a complete bash on James. I truly don't believe that he had ill intentions when this started, but I do think he got in over his head for some money and then when he realized it just quit on the whole situation and hoped for the best outcome instead of just communicating the problem with me and refunding my money.
I don't think James is a bad guy by any means, just took on more then he could do and then handled it very poorly. We all make mistakes and I understand that and that's why I'm typing this. The transaction is reflected in his I trader per forum rules and in this thread as an fyi to members, aside from that I don't want beat up on James or make him not want to come on this forum because of me dragging his name through the dirt, I'm not that kind of guy.
I appreciate everyone's input and hope that through the itrader
feature and this thread that these instances can be minimized.

You are an A-OK fellow for sure.

I try to also handle matters like you have here on S197.

It's always nice to see there are other people that choose to try their best to handle things in a professional manner.

Just like you have !!!

Take Care,
Terry aka "tigerhonaker"

At the same time I think you should leave negative feedback for him as he did not handle the transaction properly, people may not see this thread but they will see a less than 100% by his name for Itrader; this is not your fault and you should not feel guilty about leaving him negative feedback, you did nothing wrong, James earned the negative feedback.
