Quick, probably stupid question about Headers

I have a blown header gasket and was wondering with these being BBK shorty headers if I can just replace it with the stock metal manifold gaskets I can buy at autozone. I want to get this fixed asap and didn't want to wait for a replacement in the mail. Thanks!

The absolute best gaskets are the factory OEM gaskets. I have installed headers on both the 2009 4.6 and 2011 5.0 and each time, at the suggestion of Chase at Brenspeed, reused the stock gaskets. No leaks. Once with Pypes next with JBA.

The asbestos material is garbage. To my experience it is not if they will leak, it's when.

Yes, get the OEM metal type.

All I needed to know! Thank you very much! Didn't know if it would cause a sealing issue with aftermarket headers or not.

I used the FRPP ones from AM. Zero leaks. They are ford oem.

Depending on mileage, if installing new headers, use new gaskets, don't re-use the old ones.... unless the car is fairly new. Way too much effort goes into installing LT's to save a few $ on gaskets.

Installed a set of JBA long tubes about two years ago. No leaks at all.

Used OEM on my BBK long tubes 0 leaks.

Re-used my oem's when I put my headers on. Re-used the same gaskets when I put my p&p heads on year and a half ago, still working great! Baddass gaskets!

Used new OEM Ford gaskets when I installed the Kooks long tubes in 2010. No issues since then.
