Any plans to do a write up for it? That would be an awesome swap. I've always loved driving EPAS cars. Plus getting rid of that noisy PS pump would be great too.

(as I wrote in DOB's car thread)

Sincerely, no. I can help you out if you want giving the specific pointers but is so damn straight forward to do I don't see need. Get the rack, test fit to find the bracket that needs to be welded, do the bracket and weld it, strip the harness from the 11+ and use the wires needed (this has a lot of extra wires like starter and alte IIRC), laid them out as needed, thick + to battery with it's fuse (you will probably just leave it as is mostly and reroute the alt wire so not to cut anything as it comes), ground to chassis, switched power to start/run power point at the BEC and CAN wires to PCM CAN wires at the body connector (mid connector on 3V PCM) Hi with Hi, Lo with Lo. That is it.

The only gripe I think there may be is the need for a higher alt than stock, IIRC coyote's are 160+ instead of the stock 130A of the stock 3V, the EPAS has a 100A inline fuse, yes, it use quite some juice when parking, etc.

I'm 99% sure that the OEM Yote alternators are 135a.

Hi, how cheap is cheap? To have a reference.

Offered it to dubstep for 275 shipped, figured that is cheaper than anything on ebay currently. And mine was taken off of my good car at 9k miles, not off a wrecked car like those on ebay. They are going for 299 to 350 over on ebay.

And sorry for whoring in a tech thread :/

K member is coming out to weld a brace for the third bolt.

Weighed everything, here are the results (Kg)

EPAS: 17.3

Rack 16.8 plus about 0.5 of wiring.

Hydraulic:

Rack 8.3
Pump (with part of the lines) 4
Cooler (with lines) 1
Reservoir, hose, bolts and oil 2.2

Hydraulic is about 1.8 less, about 4lbs.

WC-96240 that includes the battery, epas, alternato and starter cables and a lot of other stuff, we will decide but we think on replacing the current battery cables with this one, and adapt the current alternator wiring with this one. We will see. Same battery works, just need to turn it around.

Ok, all done, no road test yet.

We used the new battery, alternator and starter power wires and grounds, only tested it with the wheels off the ground and so far so good.

Ok, road tested it today at speed and my conclusion is that this mod is....

AMAZING!

I had no idea it was going to be that good, when I rented a '13 on the states and tested the different settings said to myself, this car feels so damn better than mine, my guess was that the rack made it better but maybe it was something else, well, it is the rack, the 302R tune on it is awesome, is rock solid at 200+Km/h and feels like an old LTD while parking, no weird issues, nothing, I am amazed how well it behaves.

Is expensive but for someone that drives somehow fast in the twisties is awesome. 100% recommended.
