Nice car, Darren. Congrats.

I fucking hate driving a black car, and I always swear I'll never buy another one. Problem is that I keep finding killer deals on cars I want, and they're always black. I'm on my fourth black vehicle.

Buddy used to say: There's nothing more beautiful than a clean black car. And there's nothing uglier than a dirty black car.

Agreed. My black 2010 stays clean.....for about a week. What does work good on black cars is the turtle wax....with the black dye in it. (don't get it on your clothes....it won't come out). Car looks like a high gloss mirror when done. At one car show, they took pix of mine... to get the reflection of the red car next to me. Never seen that done b4. At night, black cars, done right, look good. I have chrome bullitt rims....so as long as they are shiny, the rest of the car can look like a mess.

^that's interesting...have never tried that type wax...hmm.

Did they rape you on price because it was a 50th?

That is the 50th anniversary package you can add to any premium GT, not the LE 50th anniversary edition cars with the louvered windows and one off options that are getting the big markups.

Is there any value added to the car that has 50th anniversary badging? Reason I ask is I wasn't going to change too much because I didn't want to devalue the car but if it don't matter all this chrome crap is headed to the dumpster.:Grenade:

IMO it sounds similar to the C/S package, right? Basically a $2K appearance package on top of a premium? I say do with it as you please.

Darren,

Speaking from working at dealerships for over 16 years.
Leave everything exactly the way it came from Ford.
Dealers don't like altered/changed/modified vehicles.

I'm talking about if your main concern is trade in value.

If you are not really all that tore-up over what the dealers like then it's your Mustang do with it as you darn well please.

You're buying the car to sell it?

Of course not. I just didn't want to molest it and kill the value if there was any. I had no idea there was a 50th Anniversary and a 50 Anniversary LE. I thought I had a unicorn hair!!! :mwah1:
