I'm Cam - Mr. Indecisive
A couple months ago Ford sent out invitations to owners of 12-13 Boss 302's, 13-14 GT500's, 50th LE cars, dealers, and professional racers to take part in seeing what the new GT350 is all about. There were a couple tracks to go to including Mazda Speedway Laguna Seca, Road America, Lime Rock and Sebring.
I choose Sebring since it was a double whammy for me and my girlfriend to go to the event for a day and then hit up Universal Studios Orlando.
In all, the event was fantastic. I have little experience on a race track and I really couldn't push the car but once the Miller motorsports trainer took over, I was blown away. This car should be illegal for doing what it can do and I would feel so ashamed to own one and not track it. The magneride is perfect, the brakes will dislocate your face, and the sound this car makes is euphoric. I don't care how many YouTube videos you watch of this car, the sound does not convey through speakers at all.
Ford setup a complete education of the car for those who could attend, including four different stations: Taking the car for laps around a sections off course at Sebring (unfortunately not the full course), individual parts made for the car, story behind Ford and the new Ford Performance name, and a complete demonstration of the car and features.
Enough of my talking though... Here are the pictures!
The infamous liquid blue GT350. That color is fucking amazing.
They had separate components from the car on display and you could pick them up and inspect them.
That composite oil pan is awesome.
This was so cool. Carbon fiber wheel cut-a-way
The specific Brembo brakes to the GT350. While they look comparable to the performance pack GT brakes, they are completely different.
Another sexy piece
Respect your elders
Focus RS awesomeness.
I counted 15~ GT350s there. They were either GT350s with track package or GT350R's with electronics package.
