I'm an official with NASA Northwest, but haven't actually joined as a racer yet. Soon though

Closest track is Portland International Raceway, about 15 minutes
Also have been to Pacific Raceways in Kent, WA and The Ridge in Shelton, WA

Despite not registering as a driver, I have been able to run with HPDE 2 at every track...being good friends with the director has its perks :)

Clubs: NASA, Buckeye Miata Club
Tracks: Mid-Ohio, local kart track (for miata club autocross)

The kart track autox is a blast, there are typically just as many non-miatas crashing the party as there are miatas. When I sold mine about 2 months ago I was leading the stock class, but the non-miatas just sort of get thrown together so I'll probably get beat by one of the two GT-R's.

Just wanted to post up a link for any interested Ohio guys. Autox on a go-kart track is SO much more fun than a parking lot!

I'm lucky enough to have Mosport as my home track, about an hour and a half away. Used to do CASC regional showroom stock racing there in the early 90s with my 5.0L Mustang (Canadian showroom stock rules were a bit more free than SCCA, closer to what IMSA Firehawk allowed at the time). Even did a 24 hour race there around that time, and more recently a Chumpcar race.

Usually get on there several times per year when instructing, and a lot more at the driver development track at the same facility. Also have Watkins Glen about 4 hours away, which is another amazing old-timey circuit with some fast sweepers and great elevation changes like Mosport.

cheers
Ed

I'm not with any clubs, but I used to live 30 minutes from Road Atlanta. I've moved to the Savannah area now, and I'm an hour away from Roebling Road. Life is good.

My current home track is NOLA Motorsports Park in New Orleans. I ran one track day there with my 2000 911 before I sold it. Drove a company Escape the past three years. Just picked up a 2014 Mustang GT and not sure if I will get any track days in before we relocate to Atlanta.

My new home track with be Road Atlanta - I've been putting in lots of miles there on Forza on the Xbox One. :) Looking forward to doing it for real later this summer.

Pacific Raceways in Kent, WA and The Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton, WA for me.

I have gone to both tracks for motorcycle track days and loved it, talk about a work out.

I have a date with Proformance Racing School at Pacific Raceways on March 19th with my 2005 GT. I cant wait!!!! I am going with my cousin in his 2010 Camaro SS (boooo!). Should be alot of fun. I have done autocross with my GT but this will be my 1st full track day.

My home track is Redding, CA. Oldest NHRA track in USA. For years it was needing some remodeling and infrastructure and that has all happened. Seems now just as fast, or seems to be, as Sacramento. Sacramento generally has better air though.

And it's only 5 minutes from my house.

You're right, it is awesome. I helped at a BMW club event the first year it opened, haven't had the chance to get back since. Toughest track I've had to learn with all of the freakin' corners packed in to 3 miles. Hoping to get back there this year to do a Chumpcar race.

cheers

They are starting an expansion project this year. You should come back.
I met the Chump car people at the Ottawa car show last weekend.

The team that I drove with last year is based out of Ottawa, so they will be doing several of the Calabogie events this year. It's just up to me to get the time away from work, and lay down the cash for my turn in the seat! Good chance that I can make it happen for at least one of the races there. The little Civic that the team has is a great reliable performer ... we got a 1st in class and 4th overall out of roughly 45 cars at the Mosport outing last fall.

Lots of good tracks close to where you're going. Road Atlanta, Atlanta Motorsports Park, and Roebling isn't too far. And Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham as well as Talladega Gran Prix Raceway (TGPR, or Little Tally) are both a short drive down I-20 from ATL. Check out a local Atlanta track group http://justtrackit.net/. They are great guys and put on a great track day event at all those aforementioned tracks.

Haha, nice. I've been logging e-miles on VIR since I won't run it for real until September. I have two events at CMP in the next 3 months though.

I wish they had a non-GT500 13/14 in the game. I had to buy one plus an S550 GT to get my fix.

Finally got to the point that I'm starting to track my car!! I'm not part of any club as of now, the tracks that I will be going to is the Nurburgring, and Spa. I'm in the military stationed in Germany and both tracks are about 90 miles away from my house!!! I've already done a couple laps at the Ring and now I'm hooked!!
