How do you like the TH400? I'm really considering that as my next trans. I like the idea of the TH400 over a glide. I think it would be "more fun" to shift an extra time.

I love the TH400. The trans brake is fun. It had a TH350 in it for about 5 years before my trans builder convinced me to go TH400 when the converter went out and took the trans with it. People will tell you the TH400 will be slower than the TH350 because it weighs so much more but my builder said it does weigh more but the car would be faster with the TH400. He was right. Best I could get out of the car with the TH350 was 12.67. To be fair, the converter was probably an issue for a long time and it didn't have a brake. I'm very happy with my decision. In case you're wondering, my trans and converter builder is Marco Abruzzi.

dropped more than a tenth on the 60' with the new setup, that's fantastic!

My plan for the winter is CJ springs and shocks/struts and maybe an ARB.
I've been experimenting with a whiteline rear sway bar as a less expensive drag ARB alternative, and it has proven effective with my low(er) powered N/A setup. Amazon.com: Whiteline BFR65Z Heavy Duty Sway Bar: Automotive

I swapped out the provided downlinks with Team Z Motorsports rod end downlinks from their cobra jet arb kit ($50 ordered directly from Team Z). The whiteline rubber bushing downlinks caused bind. At the stiffest setting, the whiteline bar is 3x stiffer than the OEM 20mm bar rate, and keeps the front nice and level at launch (6500rpm clutch dump)

All bolt in, no tabs to weld, only 4 lbs heavier than the OEM stuff I pulled off the car, and the bar + team z links came in at $275 total.

Very interesting. Thanks for that. My only concern is I converted to a 9". Not sure if the axle tubes are the same diameter as an 8.8"

Another PB last night. R/T wasn't great but it was a time trial. Had some decent weather again. Can't wait until the fall, might be able to get an 11.99 out of it.

older (2008 variant) cobra jet springs, part number M-5300-Q. They barely lower the car (maybe 1/2"-3/4" in the rear, essentially leveling the car).

They're discontinued, but if you search you can still find them out there...

Sure wish I could have found a Cobrajet setup that only dropped the car that much. I would have snatched them. Tried getting some 411 on how low the current springs drop the car and FRPP refused me any information on them at all. Only info I got was from a distributor who told me they sit much lower than yours do now.

you can try here, and here for the M-5300-Q (used on 2008/2010 CJ's). you might stumble across someone that still has a set on the shelf - good luck (try ebay too).

info on the newer CJ spring kits:

M-5300-R - Cobra Jet Spring Kit Lowers Front 1.9 in. - Lowers Rear 2.5 in
M-5300-RA - Cobra Jet Spring Kit (replaced "R" kit, I think the drop is similar)

I raced in the no box class at War By The Shore at Thompson Raceway in Ohio this past weekend. I did get a new PB of 12.22 on the brakes in the first round. Unfortunately, it was a breakout and I lost but I try to find the positive in everything. lol.
