So, does anyone have a suggestion as to what I should gap the Brisk14RR plugs I ordered at running a 100 shot?

Looks like I'm putting this build on hold for a good year, I'm taking a job overseas, but when I get back, it's going to get really good

Holy shit where you goin? Get a nice 150k'er in Afghanistan/Iraq?

Afghanistan, Dyncorp International. I worked with those guys directly before each time I was previously deployed so I know what to expect. Close to that, just need to keep my ass out of the country for 333 days so I don't get taxed on the majority of it. When I come back I'll be able to just go to school and not have to work.

Nice. Civilians don't get taxed when down range? I haven't been yet, so I'm not sure what Dyncorp is. It's not logistical stuff is it? Apparently we are going to hear some news of a deployment toward the end of this year so I'm stoked. Probably the only one who actually wants to go to Bagram or JBad lol.

Oh, yes, we do, the exemption is if you stay out of the country for 333 days of 365 days, one year, then up to a certain amount is tax-free. I believe it's around $108.5K for 2016. Dyncorp International is a aerospace company, DOD contractor. They run the civilian maintenance teams overseas. You're AF right? Shoot me a PM and I can text you. Bagram isn't bad at all, just crowded. It was being built up when I left in 2014. I'm sure it's better now.

So I went out to Texas Motorplex out in Ennis, TX last night. DA was around 670 for the evening and the temps were around 60 degrees Farienhieght.
I made four passes , each improved from the previous. First time out with the new setup, since last time I raced; BMR springs, Johm Lund tune, Race Stars, and MT ET Streets 305/35/18R.
I managed to run a [email protected] with a 2.08' 60'. I think I launched somewhere around 2.5K-3KRPM. The half shafts held up lol. I'm going to launch more aggressive next time I go out. I was stepping the RPM every launch to see how far I could take it.

Well, the build is still on hold since I am currently on contract over in Afghanistan, but I decided to pull the trigger and order what I've been planning to add onto the car when I get back next year.

Lethal Performance better thank me LOL

-Siemen Deka 80lb USCAR High Impedence Injectors

-MBRP 2015-2016 Mustang GT T304 Header and Catted Connection Pipes

-DSS 800HP Rated Half-Shafts

-RaceStar 18x8.5'' Polished Wheels(for the front)

-Mickey Thompson 245/40R18 Street Comp Tire (2)

-MGW 2015-2016 Mustang Race Spec Short Throw Shifter

-BMR Camber Bolts

I was a little too excited to elaborate earlier or pull some stock photos of the new goodies so I'll do that now.

I went with the 80lb injectors for a few reasons. First, I want to be able to have plenty of injector for later on when I build the engine with a GT350 IM, Comp Cams, and P&P heads, on top of running E85, and eventually progressing up to a 200 shot of nitrous at the track. Secondly, I want to keep the duty cycle well below 85%.

The MBRP LT headers with cats. I don't want to worry about not passing emissions, and my exhaust is at the perfect volume now so I don't want it ridiculously loud by going with off road exhaust. MBRP has great quality and I don't have to sell a kidney for their product. It is designed to work with the MBRP catback system that is currently on the car, no cutting or welding required.

Aren't they pretty?

DSS Half-Shafts, everyone knows the name, great reputation and a reasonable price for a great product IMO. I didn't want to spend a few hundred more for the FRPP units, and I really don't ever plan on taking the car north of 800WHP.

RaceStars, I have the 18x10.5''s in the rear, and I realize there is a 18x5 front runner but I will most likely be running on the RaceStars as long as the Texas weather allows, so I want a larger contact patch up front for better street manners. If I really need to shave weight when I'm hunting for the 9s on a badass NA build plus the bottle, I can purchase the smaller front runners at that point.

MGW Race Spec S550 STS. I had a hard time deciding between this unit and the Steeda unit. I've heard great praises about both and both companies are known for high quality, all the while making their products look amazing. I watch a coupe of videos on YouTube of both, and decided on the MGW. One reason is because the MGW solid mounts to the transmission itself. Since I am going to be pretty serious about drag racing I want to have the most robust unit that will provide me consistency and reliability.

And I mean, come on fellas, does a shifter get any better looking than this?! It's a shame this work of art will be covered up.

Thanks man! Yeah, I was pretty happy when I saw that they finally released long tube headers to work with their systems. I've always wanted LTs but didn't want to be having to cut and weld any part of my exhaust to get a set to work with it.

Are the tires drag radials or bias ply? I have heard stick cars are less violent with bias ply thus saving parts.

Im a road course guy. What do i know really

Drag radials, both front and rear. I would benefit more from bias ply tires but after researching I decided running them on the street is not a good idea. Especially when I won't be really swapping the Race Stars out for street wheels normally.

The bug has really bitten, mod bug that is. I ended up making two purchases that will be supporting the mods I previously had purchased this week.

I ordered the Ford Racing Super 8.8 IRS Bearing and Seal kit from American Muscle. When I install the DSS half-shafts I will replace the bearings and seals since they will be exposed and the factory units have been through some abuse the past 29K miles. And yes, I put 29K on her in just over a year.

Then I was reading some threads over on 6G and came across a thread concerning BG Products for the MT-82. I ordered the 2015+ Mustang GT BG Products Combo kit from Optimum Performance, which contains BG Syncro Shift II, and Ultra Guard LS Rear Axle gear oil 75-90w. Now, my MT-82 has been rock solid from day one. Power shifts, 7,100rpm shifts, rev-matching downshifts, etc. have not been an issue what so ever. But since I will be drag racing quite a bit I would like to get the factory fluids out of her and add some better protection over what the factory provides.

Once I have Ford rebuild the 8.8 with new gears, mine started making a low whine after the first time at the strip, I'll put in the new gear oil after the break-in period.
