Got my sunroof finished today and the truck put together. Lost two bolts along the way but in the end I'm just glad that's over with. Just have to do some adjustment on the sunroof glass since it seems like it's rubbing all the way back and forth when I open and close it. For now, it's staying closed for about a year after all of that!! Haha.

Having a problem. Past two days I noticed the truck was having more and more trouble starting up. Almost left me stranded today so I went ahead and bought a new battery. After I swapped the battery, my AMP powersteps stopped working. Anyone know how to fix the issue?? There's no option to turn running boards on auto or off in the dash settings since I installed them on my own. I noticed when the power was draining sometimes they wouldn't work which I'm sure was probably due to the low battery power.

I think it has to do with a wire I had to splice when I reconnected the new battery. One of the two that go to the battery along with the fuse cut off when I tightened the nut. I bought a new fuse and some connectors the same size since the one I used wasn't big enough. I'll redo the splice when I get home from jury duty. Just sucked having to hop on the truck without them since I'm so used to them and I'm only 5'8" with shoes on haha

Cam,

Something you might be interested in. I'm definitely putting this on my list of mods in the next couple of weeks.

https://www.f150forum.com/f118/raptor-shift-paddles-non-raptor-write-up-377692/

Installing the Raptor wheel itself is pretty straight forward. CJPonyParts has a video and says it only takes about 30 mins. The link above is a mod to get the paddle shifters to work on non-Raptor trucks. However, towards the latter pages of the thread, it seems if you don't have the "M" mode on your truck (mostly with 3.5 NA trucks), you may be SOL on the paddles working.

There are different SKUs for the Raptor steering wheel, but people are buying them between $300-$600. The wire pins are about $20 at the most. There is a guy on that thread that sells a ready to go harness for the mod, but he is in Florida. I think he would have issues making the harnesses atm.

Damn that's pretty neat!

I'm saddened to report that one of the anzo tail lights on my lifted trucks have already broke. We were delivering the lithium gray one today and the pass tail light started flickering bad. We swapped it for the other set I had and I'm still waiting for their customer support to call me back.

Some pics of it before the guy left.

Those 18's make me want to trade just for the new grille. What is with the white cap on the brakes?

Factory plastic brake dust cover. It's become a standard for the Ford vehicles in the last year. Ford is instructing us to not remove them until the vehicle is sold.

Ah....that makes sense...they look really good!

We can easily make you a set. Just let me know

Stupid question but wouldn't they have to be removed for a test drive?

I am sure, comes with an 18 F150 Lariat 502a, eh? :whistle1:

Naw. Question for you guys... trying to find some information on this.

I have a customer who is looking to just do a level kit, instead of my usual 4-6" lift package. He still wants 18's on 35" tires.

Does anyone know if a 18x9" +20 with a 295/70/18 work properly on a 2.5" leveled F-150?

Trying to get this information squared away before I give pricing.

You're pretty much screwed for anything bigger than 33" when it comes to just a level kit. I've seen people pull 35's off with removing crash bars and still putting up with rubbing.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, still working on this for him.

Also trying to figure out if Ford changed anything for the 2018 F-150's lift kit fitment.

This was the lift I was contemplating getting for my truck, but ended up just lowering the rear.

Does that wear out any suspension components pre-maturely? The 3.5" level for a Super Duty was something I considered for a build I'm putting together right now, but I went with a BDS 4" w/ Radius Arms.

I sell my kits with a dealer warranty and don't want something to break and cause concern. I swear by BDS with their lifts since its easy warranty process and its worth the premium for less headache.

Cam, I cant say for 100% certainty, because I haven't actually used the kit. From what research I have done and previous modifications to lifted trucks, I would say it should be a ok kit, I don't know how I feel about the angles of the tie rods or the CV shafts. They use improved upper control arms so that you aren't constantly replacing ball joints. I know that was an issue on one of my previous trucks that retained the factory upper control arms. That kit only uses blocks to lift the rear, so other than if you are over traveling the shock I wouldn't expect any issues with the rear suspension. I would look into making sure your pinion angles are good, but other than that I think you would be fine if the customer wanted to stay with a smaller lift.

The alternative is keeping the stock offset and run a narrower tire. I have 34" tires on my truck with no lift. Fills out the wheel well nice, but they are not as beefy as I would normally prefer, only being a 275.

Here is a thread on the lift. Some different opinions, but some pictures to look at.
