I use the one made by Steeda on my 2011 v6. Its made strong and solid and is also a 2 piece so you don't have to remove the driveshaft to install it :)

Could kill two birds with one stone and get the blowfish bracket.
Mounts the back of the shifter to the transmission, and acts as a driveshaft safety loop.

However it's $$

I bought a cheap one from UPR that has both the front and the rear ones. It bolted in okay-ish, I had to trim the heat shield for the exhaust but it fit just fine. The powder coating is coming off now but other than that. The price of the 2 piece setup was less thn many of the single loops out there and did not require dropping the driveshaft to install.

With a non-moving or weight bearing part and being something that is pretty simple, I am okay with saving a few bucks on not going with a premium part.

I had the Blowfish setup and it is a nice piece. However, expect an uptick in NVH and not much improvement in shifting.

I ended up going with MGW for shifting duties and BMR for front side driveshaft restraint.

I have an extra BMR front loop somewhere. I bought one a long time ago. When I went to put it on months later I couldn't fine it. Ended up buying another one. Last year I cleaned out the garage and put a ton of stuff in storage. During that cleaning I found it. Anyways, I think it is in the storage unit somewhere. Don't know if I can find it without pulling everything out but if you can wait till after Christmas I can look for it.

I used the rear BMR tunnel brace and mating safety loop. Installed at the same time as the DSS-DS. The rear BMR loop sits just aft of where the oem pillow block bearing resides on the oem 2 piece DS. IE: just aft of the half way point on the DSS-DS. If the DS broke at the front, it can't drop lower than the rear safety loop.... it's captivated.

Look what I found. Couldn't find the bolts but it's just 2 bolts, 2 nuts and 4 washers from the hardware store. The bracket uses the stock Tranny cross member bolts.

If you're interested in it, make a $50 donation to the Folds of Honor charity in the name of the S197forum and I'll ship it to you.

No way, I'm just starting this build. Shooting for single digit ET's. Gonna shoe a BBC with a bunch of nitrous in there.

Am I missing something. You said he could have the loop for just a donation, and now you say "no way" ? Am I wrong?

Reading comprehension is key:

Asks: How much for the firebird?

Answers: No way, I'm just starting this build and then posts pictures of the firebird.

Hmmmm.......
