In for updates. I also found a crazy deal for a full E-Force set-up with GT500 HE (all for $2000 local pick-up) that I have "installed" on my 65 Falcon. It is just sitting on the engine for now to test hood clearance and all is good. Strange to hear a report of it being loud, I hope it is, but all reports I have heard are that the E-Force is so quiet that you cannot even tell it is there.

Im not sure yet.. but i have bigger problems.. aparently this model i bought is for a 2009 mustang and NOT 2010!
Let the fun begin!

So what's the problem ? There's no difference between 2009 and 2010 4.6 3v Mustangs.. Therefore the model you bought should work out just fine !

There is a difference with body style. According to edelbrock my intercooler, heat exchanger and air box arent the same

Only exterior body changes were made.. Other than that, no other changes were made.. Under the hood dimensions also remained unchanged and used the same 4.6 3v motors from the 2009 models.. Therefore Ford never redesigned the 4.6 3v motor between 2009-2010..

One would think but there are some changes.

If there were design changes made to the 4.6 3v motors between 2009-10, then unfortunately I am not aware of them.. IIRC, the architecture itself retained the same overall dimensions/design

The oem airbox on the 2010 flows one helluva lot more air vs the 09 airbox. In fact it flows more than the 11-14 cars. 10 Rev limiter was raised to 6500. The water pump is totally different on a 2010 vs 09... and uses way less hp. ( the 05-09 cars used the same pump). The alternator on the 10 is totally different. The eng wiring harness is different. Battery oriented different. Some minor eng changes. The 2010 eng is very similar to the 09 bullitt. The 08/09 bullitt got the H pipe with the puny 3/8" hole. Radiator hose routing and T stat are configured differently. Some other minor stuff.

It will bolt on to the engine just fine but mounting the heat exchanger may require some creativity and you will probably need to make up a coupler that fits to the 2010 air box.

It can definitely be done. I would check with Edelbrock and see if they can give you parts lists for a 2009 and a 2010 or if they would ve willing to sell you the parts that are different.

The reason the oem airbox on the 2010 flows more air vs the 09, was from Ford re-routing the location of the air duct from the fenderwell towards the front grill section which is able to take in much more air to the intake as opposed to the 05-09 air duct location at the fenderwell that wound up restricting the amount of airflow due to the fenderwell not providing a large enough opening to draw fresh air in let alone the ability for providing better airflow velocity.. Why Ford didn't use this approach for the 2005-09 airbox design to begin with, I have no clue whatsoever.. In the meantime, thanks for bringing me up to speed on the minor engine changes :thumb2:

Yea i spoke to a tech at Edlebrock and they were kind enough to email me all parts required. Great customer service from a dude named Christopher.

Just as I was planing to go fully bolt-on upgrades, I fall on a great deal for a complete kitt Edelbrock Supercharger stage 2. I have a 2010 Gt 3v... i'm hoping with a good Lito tune ill be able to pull 465ish at the wheel?? Is it attainable? I havent asked Lito yet.

Finally got the call that the work is completed. Im waiting for the official dyno sheet but im told 478rwhp / 473 tq @ 11psi

If these are accurate im really happy with the results.

Great numbers. What are all you other engine mods if any? I would be thrilled to achieve the same numbers on mine. Is this on Lito's tune?

On the Falcon I will have full exhaust, no cats so I would think I should be able to hit the same numbers. Probably don't want to push it any further on the stock bottom end to keep it happy. Also wonder how long the stock 5 speed will last with sticky 315's out back.

I've been running a Roush TVS R2300 at 9 PSI with Mac longtubes for 40,000 miles with no issues. I make 480-ish RWHP. I have a WOTBOX, I race the car, and I also run a Snow Performance meth injection system in it. It's not tuned for the meth, so it's a safety margin vs. a power adder. My snout pulley is 3.47". I don't worry about it blowing, but like everyone else I want more power so I am building a 5.0 liter fully forged stroker and will be doing an engine swap once I get some home improvement projects done.

Where are you injecting the meth? I have a Saleen and would like to run meth on mine. just not sure injecting before rotors is a good idea.

Carmen over on the Roush forum used a pair of 225 ml sprayers on his water / meth setup. The pair of sprayers were side by side..on the elbow of his M90 blower. Injecting before the rotors is about the only practical method of doing it. Trying to inject into the manifold is doable, but the manifold has to be modified. Then you have the issue of the meth /water dividing equally between all 8 cyls. Injecting b4 the rotors allows for cooling the entire blower assy, casing, rotors etc. It all works. Typ they will also include a pair of float levels in the system to let you know when you are low on water /meth. IE: green led is normal /full. Yellow you are really low, and red means you are almost out, fill it up asap.
