So my passenger window stopped moving, first it would click then no reaction at all.
I took the door panel off, removed the motor. The connector was crusted up so I lopped it off and soldered in a brand new connector and I have a brand new window motor, I plug it in and nothing.

From the manual the fuse for the passenger windows motor is #7 and it's one of these clear windowed joints.
No idea what these are called, never had to change one and they all "look" fine.
Any google for fuses produces results for regular fuses.

Any ideas!? Thanks!!

automotive fuse types
I couldn't fine the name of them, but you can see them in the images search. I just walk into the parts house with the fuse in my hand and ask for a replacement

No joke it's called a female maxi fuse. I've had to replace one before for the cooling fan circuit.
Holy shit, thank you!
A mutha fuckin female maxi fuse! I feel like I've never seen this fuse on any car besides my Mustang :roflmao:

Some dielectric cream on the male prongs may help with lubrication.

Just kidding. Don't do that. I found these easily at Autozone.

OK so I found it at the 2nd autozone I went to.
Put the fuse in, windows still won't move. SO I guess it wasn't the fuse.
WTF else is there?

Bad window switch? Can you test it?

hmmmm sounds like we have an electrical problem. Check to see if you have voltage at pin 7 on the passenger side window motor connector. Wire is Brown w Light Blue stripe (based on 2005 prints I don't have 08 prints). Should have voltage there even with key off. Then check pin 8 to ground for continuity. Wire is black. If these check good then it is likely a failed motor assembly. If you find F7 has blown again, replace it with the window motor disconnected. If it does not blow with the connector separated from the motor that further points to the motor assembly. If you are not getting voltage at pin 7 and the fuse is good you can next pull F7 and check continuity on the wire from the fuse connection to pin 7. If it is open find the broken/burned wire and make repairs. There is a connector between the fuse and the motor connector called C213 located in the passenger side footwell behind a trim panel. Hope this helps. Its a rectangular connector. The power wire passes through here on pin D6. I can send you a pinout picture if it ends up being a problem.

Holler if you need some direction. I see your car is an 08 so the wire color code may be different but if you need some connector pinout I can take photos of my prints that have these and post them so you can find the pin if Ford has chosen to change color code as they have been known to do from time to time.

You could have used the DVM (digital volt meter) to test the oem fuse. You are dead in the water without a dvm, when trbl shooting anything electrical related, or grnding issues, connector issues etc. Actually, a tiny bit of dielectric grease on any connector might not be a bad idea.
