Your starting to look like your picture.Crack must be really easy to get these days
and that would include parts interchange between Ford cars and trucks. It's called the Hollander Interchange. It defines what parts interchange (works/fits) between cars , not how a specfic car is manufactured.

This is the first I've heard anything about "early-build'14" anything.
The story so far has been that late-build '14 GT's got '15 heads.
And some '14's, also late-build, were able to get the Track Key option programmed in.
That didn't mean "Boss ECU".
And it didn't mean "Boss longblock"
Now your in the life of a Factory Parts Manager in charge of "Just in Time Parts". I had restored a 71 Challenger RT built in Nov 1970 that had 1970 seats. I ordered a set of seat covers for the 71 and when they arrived after a month, they were wrong. They didn't want to take them back even thought the company knew this but the sales lady on the phone did not. They felt I did not do enough research before I called. Never again.
Yes, the only difference is the ECU is double path so it will take a track key and it can be used on a 2013 Boss. I am not sure you can take a 2012 GT ECU and use it on a 2013 Boss. If I read the Boss Rod Application right, they were also used on all 2017 GTs. Ford now calls them the Boss/Truck Rod and sells them for about $25 each.Yeah. Ford still to this day doing some odd stuff, but more than likely you have a processor that is tuned just like any other std 5.0, no matter how is marked on the outside.
